Frito Lay

Last week after being diagnosed, my husband was eating cheetos. So, I called frito lay and they said they are gluten free, and they sent me a gluten free product list. I got the LONG list today, and at the end of it it said only one of the products was actually made on separate machinery. I'm not big on junk food in the first place, but you know if I wanted a cheeto once and awhile that would have been nice. Jeez.

I'm pretty sensitive and have had no problems with cheetos, or any lay's product that was supposed to be gluten-free for that matter.

I rarely ate Cheetos before but after my dx I had them once in a while. As I grew more sensitive to gluten, I noticed I had issues with them. Knowing they are gluten free I figured I had problems with corn. That turned out not to be the case but in fact, I can not eat Cheetos without getting a b'ball belly. But I've know others not to react to Quaker grits and I did both times I had them. Quaker told me point blank not to eat any of their products ever due to cc issues. I'm not Cheestos are cc but we could be reacting to all those chemicals in them. Once you start eating more whole foods, your system can't tolerate all that crap in processed foods. My rule of thumb is if there are more than 5 or so ingredients on a label, I don't want to consume it. The exception being a few gluten-free mixes for cookies, muffins and pancakes. The fresher your food the better. We buy organic even for meats now. The difference is unbelieveable.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
