So if we blow past Soozle's reign and cruise on into the next monarchy, what if the Sooze doesn't even notice?

OK, you guys have stepped all around it (and *sniff*sniff* apparently someone has stepped in it). . . you've been talking about Target and IKEA and Jess wants a way to indulge herself . . . duuuhhhh, shopping!!! credit card debt!!!! come on, you guys can't see the forest for the trees!!!

Hilarious...Here is one of the gems from this very funny English book I dug up from our basement.

Me older son was always an avid reader. He read all the available John Grissom books whilst still in middle school.

And speaking of sons who enjoy reading, Em, did the Ripper phinish wif the Neanderthal Parallax?

do some more of these....

Okay:

Sillies I could have used you guys this afternoon. I was at Walmart and the people were so annoying and crowded.No parking....crying kids, angry parents....blah blah...

I was secret santa shopping for my coworker.....everything she asked for (we ask for 3 things) was not in the store....so I think I am just going to do a Kohl's gift card.

Anywho - twister in the basement (with nips of alcoholic beverages for Mummy's + Daddy's) sounds like good fun :lol:

I've changed my avatar to a picture taken at 3:45 this afternoon of our back deck, seen through the sliding patio door. Thank goodness we filled the bird feeder last night. The bird bath is electrically heated so it does not freeze.

Just never been a fan of the pop-in. Sounds nice, in theory, but I like to be prepared. Must be all the years of having unpredictible (nice way to put it) bathroom habits. <_<

Question, does anyone know a good small dog breed that are good with kids?

YES!! He's read...what....about six of Robert's books now.....two series, I believe. He's waiting for two more to be returned to the library. . . . . .

Remember last winter when the sillies all went to the dogs, as it were....

Speaking of coldness, I keep, forgeting to tell you guys the exciting news going on: My SIL is running the Yukon Quest as we speak. One of the two huge, international dogsled races held each year up north. Very few women have ever entered, and last year she came in eighth. Took her fifteen days, driving up mountains and across frozen lakes, -40, utter darkness....craziness. But I really admire her; she's quite a woman. She's been out two days, and right now she's in 7th. Exciting! Here's the link:

This year's Yukon Quest starts February 14.

QUOTE

Gawd....I get the hiccups regularly due to my reflux. What I do is concentrate on something, and breathe as shallow as I can, especially when I feel one coming on. I have to really concentrate

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This one I know was moi! I still get those blasted hiccups :angry: A real pain in the tatoot!
And, of course, anything having to do wif laundry. :lol:
flourgirl Apprentice
from Roseann Cash
hmmmmmmm
It's 3 am in the morning
The train whistle is blowing
It sounds like some lonesome song
got in my soul, in my soul
My baby split and left me and
he won't be back no more
My baby thinks he's a train
he makes his whistle stop
and he's gone again
sometimes it's hard on a poor girls brain
poor girls brain
Oh whatcha spose to do when
my baby thinks he's a train
flourgirl Apprentice
He eats money like a train eats coal
he burns it up and leaves you with the smoke
If you want to catch a ride
you wait till he unwinds, till he unwinds
Just like a train he always gives
some tramp a ride
curlyfries Contributor
Sorry I'm late for my shift, guys.....had a late night last night :P
Dang.....can't quote Em's quotes.......The first one about laundry and..."what's wrong with me?"......is that Suzie?
curlyfries Contributor
By the time I got done reading, I thought I was going to be by meself again :(
But I see Tuh-re-suh is still hangin in there......Way to support the cause, girlfriend!
      Have you tried Pure Encapsulations supplements? This is a brand my doctor recommends for me. I have no issues with this brand.
      plant sources of calcium, such as spinach, have calcium bound to oxalates, which is not good. best source of calcium is unfortunately dairy, do you tolerate dairy? fermented dairy like kefir is good and or a little hard cheese. i do eat dairy, i can only take so much dietary restriction and gluten is hard enough! but i guess some people do have bad reactions to it, so different for everyone.
      i take b12, folate, b2, b6, glycine, Nac, zinc, vk2 mk4, magnesium, coq10, pqq, tmg, creatine, omega 3, molybdnem (sp) and just started vit d. quite a list i know.  I have high homocysteine (last checked it was 19, but is always high and i finally decided to do something about it) and very low vitamin d, 10. have been opposed to this supp in the past, but going to try it at 5k units a day. having a pth test on friday, which is suspect will be high. my homocysteine has come down to around 9 with 3 weeks of these supplements and expect it to go down further. i also started on estrogen/progesterone. I have osteoporosis too, so that is why the hormones.  anyway, i think all celiacs should have homocysteine checked and treated if needed (easy enough with b vit, tmg). homocysteine very bad thing to be high for a whole host of reasons. all the bad ones, heart attack , stroke, alzi, cancer..... one of the most annoying things about celiacs (and there are so many!) is the weight gain. i guess i stayed thin all those years being undiagnosed because i was under absorbing everything including calories. going gluten-free and the weight gain has been terrible, 30#, but i'm sure a lot more went into that (hip replacement - and years of hip pain leading to inactivity when i was previously very active, probably all related to celiacs, menopause) yada yada. i seemed to lose appetite control, like there was low glp, or leptin or whatever all those hormones are that tell you that you are full and to stop eating. my appetite is immense and i'm never full. i guess decades or more ( i think i have had celiacs since at least my teens - was hospitalized for abdominal pain and diarrhea for which spastic colon was eventually diagnosed and had many episodes of diarrhea/abdominal pain through my 20's. but that symptom seemed to go away and i related it to dairy much more so than gluten. Also my growth was stunted, i'm the only shorty in my family. anyway, decades of malabsorption and maldigestion led to constant hunger, at least thats my theory. then when i started absorbing normally, wham!! FAT!!!
      Great advise there I agree with the aniexty part, and the aura migraine has I suffer both, I've also read some great books that have helped I'm going too look the one you mentioned up too thankyou for that, I find a camomile tea just a small one and a gentle wind down before bed has helped me too, I suffer from restless leg syndrome and nerve pain hence I don't always sleep well at the best of times , racing mind catches up I have decorated my whole house in one night in my mind before 🤣 diet changes mindset really help , although I have to say it never just disappears, I find once I came to terms with who I am I managed a lot better  , a misconception is for many to change , that means to heal but that's not always the case , understanding and finding your coping mechanisms are vital tools , it's more productive to find that because there is no failure then no pressure to become something else , it's ok to be sad it's ok to not sleep , it's ok to worry , just try to see it has a journey not a task 🤗
      I agree there I've tryed this myself to prove I can't eat gluten or lactose and it sets me back for about a month till I have to go back to being very strict to settle again
