I did . . . :D:D:D

I've been watching since right before Christmas . . . and the sets kept going for more than I was willing to spend (which was still significantly cheaper than to buy it at Hallmark). . . but I finally got me one.

Open Original Shared Link is what I got except it didn't include the angel or pedestal on the far left . . . and it didn't include that price tag.

That's so beautiphul, Jan-it :D Congratulations!!

I have an angel identical to the one on the left, except mine is holding a grey kitty. :)

Oooo very nice - I fondly remember the set we had when I was growing up.

Holy Moly.....that's beautiful!!! I have several willow tree angels and I love them. I don't think I've seen the nativity set. (That was a pretty nasty price listed up there). I'm glad you got it and for (hopefully) a lot less money! :)

Well . . . I would have loved for it to have been even cheaper, but I'll be happy wif my price. I have been looking for YEARS for a nativity set that I like and that I know that I will still like in 20 years. We currently have a Fisher-Price plastic nativity set. Skeeter was concerned that I was going to get rid of it when I showed her what I was planning on buying . . . . . . I told her that I definitely would not get rid of it until she was absolutely done with it.

Speaking of Tinkyada . . . I'm not liking Whole Foods too much . . .

Bummer

I'm fortunate that our little local grocery store carries Tinkayda and a few other gluten-free things that I use.

We still have the Nativity set I bought the phirst Christmas we were married (1975  )

The last few years, each time we take it out of the box, it has another chip er sumphun......it's really pretty, though.

I have a nativity that is a knockoff of Precious Moments. Got it when my son was small, and I didn't have a whole lot of money. My son is no longer small....and I still don't have a whole lot of money!<>

We still have at least....

I miss our neighnoUr's life-sized nativity set that I spoke of recently.....the one in the middle of his lawn, with a huge life-sized Santa, sleigh and reindeer swooping over top of the creche, Christmas lights strung across the top and along Baby Jesus's cradle, a huge blowup Homer Simpson standing sentinel alongside the gathering. . . . .

Uh-oh .. ...did that scores of pages ago :o

Uhhhhhh the colonoscopy prep wasn't near as bad, in my case & in particular relative to pre-gluten-free, as advertised.

I woke for a few sec during colonoscopy to feel internal gnawing? Not ringing a bell?

No issues w/ endoscopy, save the barely scratchy throat.

Then, post-everything, was told of gobbler goblet cells.

twenty pages and ...

I've seen that some of you are making dinner. I'm going to let the restaurant make mine :) Stopping on the way home for pizza :)

I saw Pataghumn's earlier post--and cringed a little when he said he woke up during the colonoscopy. <horrifiedphace>

Did this neighbor move or did he just not put up his display this year??

I'm very confused... My blood test came out negative, I checked all antibodies. I suppose my Total IgA levels are normal (132 mg/dl), so the test should be reliable. Still, I'm not relieved as I can't tolerate even a single biscuit. I need to talk to my doctor about whether a duodenal biopsy is necessary. But it is really possible to have intestinal damage despite having a seronegative results? I have really strong symptoms, and I don't want to keep skipping university lectures or being bedridden at home.
    • Scott Adams
They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.
    • Scott Adams
In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.
    • JettaGirl
This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.
