you can find the rest of your lunch for a mid-day snack,

Hmmmm........all my crumbs fall straight through to me belly button <_<

All right, we have exhausted the subject of trans-vaginal ultra-sounds here. I have another proceedure, equally invasive but likely not as undignified, to bring up and on which to get feedback: the infamous bone scan.

Who's had one?

Just had one recently. No biggy......'ceptin mine showed I have osteopenia :(

I once lost a coin collection......do you think it may have turned up in your mamma's boobs? Just askin' :D

or perhaps all those lost socks?

....no, wait..........Sleezle is usin those! ...........or was that tissues?

:lol: Can't imagine THAT either!!!! Especially having parts with minds of their own....

Pseriously! That's why God must be a woman!

can you imagine the thought process when she created man?

Oh Jess, I'm so sorry about your babies :( Buttercup had some tooth issues for along time--she worked away at them on the cabinet knob til they starting falling out

and her BREATH--ugh <greenpukeguy>

We eventually had to have all but about 2 teeth pulled. She was soooo happy to feel better, and started eating again for the first time in a longgg while. :)

Reminds me of a chihuahua I had as a child. He sat on a fire ant's nest. it eventually caused his spine to curve and most of his teef to fall out.

I lurved my dog just the same

So you want a pornogfraph of me. I don't know if such a thing exits.. Keep in mind that I am a thin-as-a-rail rinkly, krinkly old lady, extrordinarily ugly, and I am always necked.

I have the poifect solution!.......You simply must visit Nik.....she can iron anything! :D

....and there is no such thing as an ugly psilly.........we is alll bee-you-tee phul! :)

That picture just cracks me up!

Oh, so now PeOter speaks! :P

Psuessle! That is a most handsome SkiTTle! Wonder what he thinks about all of those psillies in psillyvilli posing wif their Samatars!

Hi All! So nice to see you all here. Go Sleezee.....streak that beeyuteephul wrinkly ol bod! But, would'n you be willin to cover up for a few minutes for one little ol' pic? *I* got brave and did it! I'm not old yet (don't think I ever will be, either, at least not in my mind). When I lost so much weight, and all of that lovely muscle tone I developed lots of wrinkles  . Phinally gained some weight back and look more normal (nobody has called me sir in a while, at least). Lately, tho'.....I've notices wrinkles coming back on my arms.... :o:( . Maybe I should join a Jim, go for the 6-pack abs (do women get those?) and get my "man-arms" back.

Pietpurrrr said "crack" :P

Have a phine evening all.

well WEEEEE think you're valuable, 8-probably-just-fine-after-all pounds and everything.

Max loved the tuna, did not care for the salmon. I believe I've eaten more fish this week then in the last month - and I eat a lot of fish. I think he's put on a half pound or so (maddeningly slow).

Lyle's back gums are infected. He's on antibiotics and pain meds. Gotta bring him back in when the infections down for a recheck.

He's really likin' the tramadol.

When I checked the guest list a minute ago we had crabs!! :o :o :o :o

I just did THE stoopidest thing.....made a lil dessert of yogurt, blueberries and nuts. Went to sprinkle on some cinnamon and grabbed the garlic power instead. Tried to scrape it off and then mix it really well--didn't work, actually almost made me gag.

That'll teach me to pay attention to what I'm doing

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

@fatjacksonthecat I have been doing some digging about the topic of nicotine and celiac.  I came across many studies that showed that the nicotine patch helped many with long covid and chronic fatigue syndrome.  I have a son who was diagnosed with celiac and his symptoms are severe when he is glutened.  He shows a lot of neurological inflammation and suffered with fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety and insomnia. There have been studies revealing that nicotine smoke actually masking celiac symptoms.  I also read that microdosing with a nictoine patch prevents one from addiction.  We are currently trying this out and so far it has lifted the brain fog and helped with anxiety and mood.  One of the studies I have read showed that it's not so much the dose, but the length of time a person is on the patch that showed improvements.  Many showed significant improvement as early as week 3 and continued through week 12.  We are taking 3 day breaks in between to make sure we don't down regulate the nicotine receptors.   How have things been for you?  Are you still chewing nicotine gum?  Perhaps, try the patch?  And how long did it take to ease up on your symptoms when glutened?

Hi @KathyR37 and a very warm welcome here.  I am so very sorry that you are going through all of this. I just wanted to check, have you ever been tested for any other gastrointestinal conditions? Cristiana
    • trents
@KathyR37, I would suspect that in addition to gluten intolerance, you have other food intolerances/sensitivities. This is very common in the celiac community. The most common offenders are oats, dairy, soy, corn and eggs with dairy and oats being the big two. Have you considered this? Have you tried keeping a food diary to detect patterns?
    • Theresa2407
thank you for your advice.   I have always taken them and I use Stonehedge because they are in a glass bottle, but don't have to be refrigerated.  I also like they are 3rd party tested and state gluten free. But you never know if something better has come alone over the years.
