Next competition... pets with hats!!! yer ON!!!

OMG.. . . you guys have NO idear. .. ......okay, gettin' me camera out.. . . ..

Before I take any more pics, I must ask this again: Can anybody tell me how to make pictures "smaller" (not cropped -- smaller resolution, or pixels er sumfin') after I've copied them from my sim card onto my computer? I use piknik to edit (the excellent fb program), but I can't seem to find this "resize" option -- it only lets you change the margins, methinks... . . ..

Cooper will not cooperate with the hat contest. I tried to explain about the fabulous prizes, status, fame & fluffy white groupies that come with winning. To no avail!

Perhaps one of the boys?

Did you see the pics posted of a gluten-free lemon cake By Trish? Daughter made? Her cat was wearing a party hat.

Coop would like a styling hat. Will have to wait until I can take his picture in sunlight. His face doesn't show up well without a lot of light.

I will have to try to get a hat on Simon tonight.... That should be interesting. I think he may try to thumper me to death. I may have to trance him first

Annoying Funny story. Mocha-bunny was easy to box train. Followed the instuctions: Watch for a few days to see where rabbit pees. They usually always go in the same spot. Place litter box where rabbit pees, VIOLA! Box trained!! Soooooo, have been doing this for a week with Simon. He was peeing in 1 corner, I placed the box there, he decided it was fun to play in-jump in and out of, so he moved his pee-spot to the middle/back of the hutch. I moved the box there, even placed a bit of the soaked bedding to entice him.... He moved back to the previous corner. I was scolding him a bit this morning, moved the box back to the corner, he turned, hopped back to the middle spot, looked me in the eyes and PEED right where the flippin box had been 20 seconds earlier!!!! GAHHHHHH!!!

I'm trying desparetly to finish off my boxes of wine so I can take them out wiht the recycling tomorrow. Y'know, being efficient and all that.

Hubs did that last night too! :P

Funny for you! He is scared of the wooden floors & staircase. He will stop in the middle of the floor, petrified. I made my carpeted stairs wood because it's sooo much easier than trying to vacuum the dog hair. I am going to have to put a runner on them. He was stuck for 2 hours at the top of the stairs needing to go to the bathroom & eat.

ok. chickens are in bed. that's my destination too.

talked to BE on the phone, told him I was less than thrilled with our recent 'evenings'. He said "I don't know what you're talking about. I have a great time!".....uh....yea.....that's 'cause events pretty much go straight to your gameplan.....how 'bout we go back to you thinking you had to convince me to stay...

What did he say?? My therapist would say it's time to go back to the 'courting' stage. No nookie :P

 Dat's one li'l handful you got there, R!

Actually, a hat for him would be simple.. . .. ...a paper muffin liner or sumfin'.......perhaps one of those would be too big right now!

well, he's willing to do anything to make me happy, he just doesn't understand what's wrong. And actually, it's not as if anything is wrong, it was just so fabulous in the beginning that I think we should try to maintain that. I'll have to work on how to convey this. Maybe a demonstration. :P

Do you have a smartphone? I take a pic wif my iphone, then I email it to myself and copy to the desktop for uploading. It asks me how big a file to send and I always pick the small size. It's perfect for uploading here and FB

What I do is take it to a paint program and export it. I use Printmaster size it so that it is small and leaves a lot of border. Then export it to the desktop. Then use Windows Live Photo Gallery and 'Fix'. I can crop with that and it comes out to be a smaller file. That's probably the Rube Goldberg way to do it... there is probably a 'proper' way that is easier.

I know! I asked a breeder's group if they had any tips and someone suggested putting another litter box in the hutch.... The hutch is only so big, for crying out loud! He's got to have room to move around in there! I'm going to pick up a different bedding tonight to see if that makes a difference. I think he's just messing with me though

I went back in time and visited Hank on the thread. He does embarrassed very well... it's almost 3D.

Wow! I go to the dental sadist and all kinds of things come up

I remember my bun, Flopsy, doing that. He only liked the litter boxes with the high curving in sides. A flatter one would not do. And his out of the cage box had to be in the corner behind the couch.

Your bun is so young, maybe he needs a hiding place. Just a sort of shelf like thingy. 2 walls his height with a top he could sit on if he wanted.

A hiding place to pee in or a hiding place to sleep?

Oh Cooper.... that's not a very happy hat face... It just shows - some dogs are too smart to be made fun of..

kareng Grand Master

To sleep or feel secure. Sometimes the litter box is the only place to hide when its scary or we are bothering them (loud music & dancing, things flying, etc). We don't want them always hiding or they don't become social. I don't know if that is why he isn't using the box or not but its a thought.

Well, I could hear in my mind exactly what Hank was thinking when I snapped the picture for this av.... . . . ..I am a member of the most intelligent breed of dog on the planet. Here I sit, obeying her, allowing myself to be completely humiliated. Would a border collie tolerate this? Not a chance......

He does have a pained expression on his face. Coop isn't too smart to wear a hat, he's too dumb. His poor muddled brain. :(

My friend has a pic on FB of her American Pitbull in rabbit ears-I should see if I can post it here... He is by far the dumbest dog I've ever seen. He got shipped to obedience school this week :P

There he is. His name is Keno. He looks really scary, but he's too stupid to be mean :P

I love a well socialized & trained Pit! They want to please and it's really hard to hurt them. Kids laying on them, stepping on them, etc

You've done an excellent job of meticulously tracking the rash's unpredictable behavior, from its symmetrical spread and stubborn scabbing to the potential triggers you've identified, like the asthma medication and dietary changes. It's particularly telling that the rash seems to flare with wheat consumption, even though your initial blood test was negative—as you've noted, being off wheat before a test can sometimes lead to a false negative, and your description of the other symptoms—joint pain, brain fog, stomach issues—is very compelling. The symmetry of the rash is a crucial detail that often points toward an internal cause, such as an autoimmune response or a systemic reaction, rather than just an external irritant like a plant or mites. I hope your doctor tomorrow takes the time to listen carefully to all of this evidence you've gathered and works with you to find some real answers and effective relief. Don't be discouraged if the rash fluctuates; your detailed history is the most valuable tool you have for getting an accurate diagnosis.

In this case the beer is excellent, but for those who are super sensitive it is likely better to go the full gluten-free beer route. Lakefront Brewery (another sponsor!) has good gluten-free beer made without any gluten ingredients.

Welcome to the forum, @catsrlife! Celiac disease can be diagnosed without committing to a full-blown "gluten challenge" if you get a skin biopsy done during an active outbreak of dermatitis herpetiformis, assuming that is what is causing the rash. There is no other known cause for dermatitis herpetiformis so it is definitive for celiac disease. You would need to find a dermatologist who is familiar with doing the biopsy correctly, however. The samples need to be taken next to the pustules, not on them . . . a mistake many dermatologists make when biopsying for dermatitis herpetiformis.

You state in an earlier post that you don't have celiac disease. Here in this post you state you will "be doing another test". What will this test be looking for? What kind of celiac disease testing have you had done? If you have used a Entero Labs it sounds like you have had stool testing done for celiac disease which is not widely accepted as a valid celiac disease diagnostic testing method. Have you had blood antibody testing for celiac disease done and do you realize that for antibody testing to be valid you must have been eating generous amounts of gluten for a period of weeks/months?
    • Gigi2025
No, I've not been diagnosed as celiac.  Despite Entero Labs being relocated to Switzerland/Greece, I'll be doing another test. After eating wheat products in Greece for 4 weeks, there wasn't any reaction.  However, avoiding it here in the states.   Thanks everyone for your responses.
