Soooozeee, we sillies all will work on getting you back in the silly spirit. Or was that silly spirits? Perhaps copious quantities of red wine will work. You can get Jess to be your coach. Just watch out for any ideas about pudding, especially the tapioca variety.

Mornin', All!

Well, I held mine.... .. . . . had three nice glasses of wine at a local club we went to last night where a terrific band was playing. Lots of horns, great vocals.....R and B, Blues, disco, Motown. . . .. ..superb dancin' stuff.

So now I gotta go work the wine off.

What in hell is goin' on? Where is the fray?? :huh:

Heheh....Em was having crazy sax last night! :lol: You need to tell us aaaalllll about it! Does sound like you had lots of fun. Seems like it's been ages since we went out to hear music and dance! I wouldn't even know where to go around here.

Aww Psuessle.....lost yer watchmacallits. Maybe you should look under Jess' dog piles (which may be in Pah-tays possesion by now.....not sure). Maybe Ptawwmms hiding them for safekeeping? Gotta be here someplace. I seem to remember reading about lost mojo's here a while back....has anyone figgered out where they go?

Overcast and 68 degrees this am!!! Rain coming..which we really need. I can't believe how dry the ground is. It's amazing that 70 degrees in the house feels so d**m cold. I wear lots of layers. BUT 70 degrees in sunshine is warm enough for T-shirts :lol: Maybe I need to design some type of heat that feels like sunnyshine! (but it has to be cheap to run!) Any ideas out there? :D

Hope you all have a great day today! We're all upright and breathing.....sometimes we have to be grateful for that much :P

Yours is two days? :o Like, 48 hours? Crap, mine is only 24 hours....technically one day.

You must have one helluva jug... ... .. ..

So.....this is the beginning of our last week here..

OMG.........Pahdeee, I cannot believe this is really happening! :) How exciting....and stressful...... ..... .

i had to do a week........right.......that's 7 days..........while working

they lost one jug and wanted me to do again.

I had me dancin shoes on today!!!!.........best therapy evah! :D

I am trying not to get psyched, but there's a possibility I might get to go to the Chicago Swing Dance Classic this weekend......free!....That's 3 days and 2 nights of continuous dancing,

interrupted by the occassional nap! :P ......must not get my hopes up.

I am still behind :( but doing better, was the MOST GORGEOUS spring day here and I did lots of work in the yard and took Weez for a LONG romp in the orchard. :)

      He’s noticed it after having a few different kinds of nuts and nuts on top of a gluten free nut bar. and it’s happened after having some fresh caught fish, and tonight from packaged plain salmon from the supermarket. He has stomach cramps and feels the need to vomit to try and relieve the symptoms.

      My reaction to a gluten bolus exposure is similar to yours, with 2-3 hours of severe abdominal cramps and intractable emesis followed by several hours of diarrhea. After 30yrs of getting it right and knowing what he can and can’t have with essentially no major instances, this has thrown us. Could this be a new intolerance or an allergy and has it happened to anyone else after so many years? thanks

I don't necessarily equate that one large exposure to gluten with significant intestinal lining damage, however. I think it's just a violent reaction to a what the body perceives to be a somewhat toxic substance that I am no longer tolerant of because I have quit exposing myself to it regularly. It's just the body purging itself of it rather than an expression of significant damage. Before diagnosis, when I was consuming gluten daily, I had little to no GI distress. I was, for the most part, a "silent celiac". The damage to my small bowel lining didn't happen all at once but was slow and insidious, accumulating over a period of years. The last time I got a big shot of gluten was about three years ago when I got my wife's wheat biscuits mixed up with my gluten-free ones. There was this acute reaction after about two hours of ingestion as I described above. I felt washed out for a few days and fully recovered within a week or so.  Now, I'm a 74-year-old male. So, I'm not worried about being pregnant. And I don't want to contradict your physicians advice. But I just don't think you have done significant damage to your small bowel lining by one episode of significant gluten ingestion. I just don't think it works that way.

I have never had that kind of reaction before as I have never had such a big exposure. My husband and I were planning to start trying to get pregnant this month. My dr did blood work to check for electrolytes and white blood cells, but did not do a full nutritional panel. Most of my GI symptoms have resolved in the past 2 weeks, but I am definitely still dealing with brain fog, fatigue and headaches. My dr has recommended I wait 3 months before I start to try to get pregnant.   I have read else where about how long it can take for the intestine to fully heal, and the impacts gluten exposure can have on pregnancy. I guess I am really wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? How long does it take to heal after 1 exposure like that, after following the diet so well for 10 years? Is 3 months an okay amount of time to wait? Is there anything I can do in the meantime to reduce my symptoms?
