Questions About Robitussin And Benadryl

I think I'm having my first ever brain fog. I was sick all last week, and I took either Robitussin or Benadryl nightly so I could sleep. It has been three nights since I last had anything, and I still feel like I can't shake the cobwebs out of my head. It feels like I OD'd on Benadryl or something. Do these have gluten? I just can't figure this out, because I've never had "brain fog" as a symptom--at least not that I was aware of....

I know Benadryl is gluten-free, I checked a couple of weeks ago. I think Robitussin is gluten-free as well, just can't find the info.

Could you have the brain fog from the medicine? I only ask because I feel like that when I take the Benadryl.

Feel better soon!

informed. They can then pass it along to their families.

It sounds like you have a very reasonable GI doctor, who diagnosed you based on family history and symptoms after eating gluten. I would consider you lucky! The other option would be to make yourself very sick by doing weeks of a gluten challenge prior to an endoscopy.

Hi Colleen H,   I suffered with the pins and needles/burning feeling in my legs and feet for at least  6 years until my Nephrologist figured out that I had to go on a low salt diet.  He said my kidneys weren't strong enough to remove the salt.  The simple fix was a diuretic, but that med leaves the uric acid behind, so that wasn't an option.  On the bright side the low salt diet lowered my BP over 20 points and and the pins and needles/burning feeling went away.  Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes this is very frustrating for me ... not sure what to think.  Feels like I'm having reactions to a lot of things  Now applesauce?? I don't understand 😞

I did ... But aren't we going to be vitamin deficienct if we are not eating due to being sick ?? If the food we eat is gluten free and we have other sensitivities , how do we get out of the cycle??  Thank you

Anyone else get pins and needles. ??? Burning feeling ? Heat makes it so much worse 😔  Winter is here.  I had to lower my thermostat because I couldn't take that hot air feeling 😔  Hopefully it goes away soon
