Making Bread In Machine

Well I decided to try baking the gluten free way today. sigh. I made p butter cookies which are good but a little to sweet for me so will cut back on sugar next time. I made banana bread which seems fine to me but a little moist but I used thawed out bananas so perhaps to much liquid. Now I've tackled bread and I don't think it's right LOL. I put all ingred in machine and turned it on and it looks awful runny compared to the regular bread. Have I done something wrong or is that the way it's supposed to look. I only put it on the manual cycle so will let it rise after it done. It looks like it's going to be sticky. DOes anyone know what I did wrong and can do to fix it or is this the way it's to be. Thanks. Beth.

Oh ya the cookies were a bit dry but not to bad. My son ate them so they couldn't have been so bad. Are they supposed to be a little dry? Beth.

how did your bread turn out?

I have made only three loafs of gluten-free bread in the machine so far and all three were different mixes/flours and they were all sticky, one loaf was bobs red mill gluten-free bread mix, quinoa flour loaf, and the other was Pamela's amazing bread mix which BY FAR was my FAV! i made the sweet loaf and its YUMMY! next time i am going to try it regular. i think the sweet loaf of pamelas with blueberries or fruit added would be terrific for breakfast.

hope your bread turned out okay :)

It turned out really good. I was surprised as it seemed so sticky just like a banana bread mix and not the consistency of reg bread. I made it all from scratch in the machine. Even the guys liked it. I made banana and cranberry bread too and they like that too. Not a big difference in taste to me-it was just more porous and heavier. The p butter cookies were good to. I guess if I wanted to make raisin bread I"d just add raisins and cinnamon and whatever other spices to it. Will try that next time. Beth.

Well thats good. Would you mind sharing your recipe. i am using mixes now because i am not really that good at baking. I am really happy with the pamelas mix, just not the price.

I am happy that your bread turned out so well. i am looking at making some buns this week to freeze. gonna check williams sonoma for pans, or order off the internet.

:)

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
