Gluten Free Supplements

I am so pissed. Since I went gluten free in the summer Ive been trying different supplements that will help me with healing and digesting my food better. I always order my supplements from a discount supplier that sells many of the top brands.

For that past month I was taking a ginger supplement for digestion, I read all the ingredients and fillers and it appeared to be gluten free. I now found out that it contains wheat! Ive been taking this supplement for a month. Its from an herbal company called planetary formulas.

Now Im double checking all my supplements and realized that I take several supplements from a company called Jarrow formulas, I always assumed it was safe because its one of the top selling brands, but when I checked the label it says nothing of being free of the common allergens like many other companies will display on the label. Also it lists all these extra ingredients and I have no idea whats what.

Does anyone know of the company Jarrow formulas and if its a safe company to deal with?

I don't know about that brand, but I just wanted to add that One Source by Perrigo labels gluten free. I found prenatal vitamins at Wal-mart today by them. Woo-hoo! Sorry to hear that you've been glutening yourself. That is SOOOOO frustrating. At least you figured out now what's been plaguing you for the past month. Ugh...

I cannot tell you how many supplements I've given/thrown away in the last few months because of containing one or more of my allergens.

From now on, I only purchase those supplements where the manufacturer lists whats NOT in them. I'm just not willing to call/email those who don't bother to disclose allergen information about their product on the label.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
