Dessa, I am so sorry for your loss. I know what it is to lose a good friend. I lost one of 25 years, she was murdered and the guy got off. Whether a person is killed by a disease, a person or anything else it is okay to hate it for taking your friend as it is part of the grieving process.. When my friend died we rejoiced in her life and had a good old fashioned wake. That is what she wanted and that is what we did. It makes the process so much easier. Toast her life and celebrate it. We told stories, played her favorite music and laughed at all our fond memories of her.

Having a wake makes it so much easier to bear. During the ceremony we cried but after we had the wake. You may want to do that even if you have to do it alone.

Dessa,

Nothing I can say can make the hurt and sadness go away. There are many out there who grieve with you and for your loss,,,me included. I am so sorry your friend is gone.

My 47 year old brother gave up the fight Feb 4 and my tears just roll down my cheeks as I write this. I didn't want to see my suffering, ill brother go on living but I want my healthy, loving brother BACK and now I can comfort myself with the memories of all those good times , cause when I was with him he made the time special (We lived far apart and only saw each other twice a year or so.

So let the tear flow and yes, the anger is normal. There are stages of grieving and anger is one of them.

Grieving with you, Sherylj

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
