Abs Redbridge Beer

Has anyone tried Busch's new gluten free beer called redbridge? I was a major beer nut before I went gluten freen and I've really been missing hops. I was pretty into good beers and it certainly doesn't compare to them, but its very drinkable for gluten free food and the beer deprived. Since I found this beer a few weeks ago I've had 18-24 bottles probably. Since then I've started to show some symptoms of gluten including a major outbreak of DH. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. It could very well be that I've eaten something else but this is the only new thing that I've really consumed in major quantity I think. I could easily see some contamination if the plant is the same and uses the same grain mill or something like that.

Anyway, AB's redbridge, safe for you or a reaction?

I've had it, love it and had no gluten reaction

Went through a couple of cases before I got pregnant. Never had a reaction. It's good stuff.

I had only one and had some pretty bad gas pain from it. I also had a break out from it. I will no longer drink this beer. I'll stick to my Margarettas.

I am on my third 6 pack with no problems. I was just happy to have a reasonably priced beer that I could get locally.

The couple of cases and becoming pregnant weren't consecutive events, were they? B)

I had a couple this weekend for the first time, so far so good. I like the taste of Dragon's Gold better, but it's not $3 a six pack better.

i've never been a big beer drinker, but it tasted like beer to me. my non-celiac boyfriend says it has a weird aftertaste--definitely a beer you drink with a meal and not on its own. i didn't have a reaction to it--and just a trace of barley sends me to the bathroom.

It made me chuckle reading this thread about beer. Since so many people put pictures of themselves in their avatar, I always think it's that person "talking" when I read a post. As I scroll through the discussion of beer, it's a little girl wearing sunglasses and an infant!

;)

No no no... :) lol... But I sure did love my Red Bridge before we started trying to get pregnant.

I have not had a problem with it. I am not a huge beer drinker (prefer wine) but on hot days nothing beats a cold one.

I too have tried this. I experienced some gas and discomfort, of the gluten reaction type, after drinking two beers on one evening. Tastes great and less expensive, but due to the timing of my reaction I will probably not buy it unless AB adds detailed information about the upper limit of gliadin storage protein concentration present in the final produt.

i have tried it also with no bad reaction. also not sure where your from but there is another beer out called "new grist" it is brewed in milwaukee by a company called "lakefront breweries" and i like it better than redbridge , but man it sure is nice to have a couple of options. I LOVE BEER!!!!!!!!!!!THE WEBSITE I THINK IS LAKEFRONTBREWERIES.COM hope you can find it

I have it every weekend without a problem. I guess I lucked out because I'm a big beer drinker as well.

Here are a couple other beers you may want to try:

New Grist

Thanks for your response.  Everything you mentioned he is and has been doing.  Tobacco is not the same as nicotine.  Nicotine, in the form of a patch, does not cause gastrointestinal irritation.  Smoking does. He is not smoking.  Please do your research before stating false information. Dr. Paul Newhouse has been doing research on nicotine the last 40 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have. It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

@Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system
