The Grainless Baker

I already was in love with the graham crackers from The Grainless Baker, but I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and trying a whole bunch of their products on Saturday when they were having a sampling at a store in New Caanan, CT.

I seriously don't think they make anything that is less than perfect!! Everything I tried was so good I couldn't stop myself from trying something else, and something else and something else!! I was full by the time I left. LOL!!

I had the blueberry muffins (so moist and delicious), carrot cake, mock rye bread (which I have to say pretty much made my year), cheese crackers (only thing I didn't love, but I'm not a big cheese person. Someone who is would love this) and snickerdoodles.

On top of creating some of the most AMAZING products, the owners are truly a wonderful couple. So sweet. Even though there were plenty of products I didn't try, based on everything I did try I can't imagine any of their products would disappoint. They could certainly fool any gluten eater.

Oh, and I used their graham crackers a couple weeks ago to make a cheese cake for Easter at my inlaws and everyone was raving about it, and some even said the crust was their favorite part!!! I got an email the next day from one of his cousins saying that her mom was still talking about the cheesecake. LOL!!

mmm.. I'm lucky to have them nearby, My Parents live about 10 minutes from the bakery itself, but about 20 minutes from the "store front" that is a real bakery. They are moving to a new Facility soon! I love there bread and brownies!

I reccomend their stuff 100%!

The Grainless Baker is who I choose to make my own gluten-free wedding cake. My family lives near their homebase in Lake Ariel so when I am home we go to the Bakery in Moosic. When I am here, I just go to the Dillsburg store and grab what else I want. The butterfly cookies are to die for as well. John loves the Macademias and he is not even gluten free.

How far is this place from Southwestern Mass near Springfield??

It is not exactly a place, they are a family owned company located in NEPA. They sell their products in stores in the surrounding states. They continue to expand too. I am so glad.

Their site has a listing of stores where you can buy their products.

Hey all I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to drop a FYI to those who may not be up to speed on the Grainless Baker. They recently moved to a bigger bakery, they have fresh baked good daily. This is slightly tricky as they also sell non gluten-free items out of the shoppe also. So while you walk in and see all the yummy stuff thinking oooh... canolis.... damn there not gluten free. The gluten stuff isn't baked there, just somewhere where you can pick it up.

As i was there... the main baker came out to talk to a customer who was his friend, he had mentioned they were thinking of going on the national market! If anyone has had Grainless baker you know how good that would be!

mmm... i'm eating graham crackers right now!

Do they sell at other stores...or just at the bakery?

Thanks for the update I haven't checked out the new place yet. If I was on Route 6 (Casey Highway) which way would I go...in through Waymart or a different route?

I wonder if they have an updated URL as well, do you know? The one listed above does not work (for me), and when I Googled them, it came up with the same thing. Although I have a sneaking suspicion they don't get as far as the Left Coast. I will just have to continue my quest for an alternative graham cracker recipe...!!

Their goods are sold in other stores. I've been able to buy The Grainless Baker breads, cookies, and cakes at Olive May in Princeton, NJ.

I would take that to route 84, get off the Lake Ariel exit and go towards hamiln. They are right off Route 590 on J&J Road. That is the highway...

Then there is the lowway... I know the back roads over salem mountain from carbondale so that is doable too, but I think that is more of a "sunday drive" than get there and get out.

Check out google maps.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
