Hi all

Does anyone knows a good brand of vitamins. Something strong especially when you have malabsorption. I've been in a gluten free diet for about 5 weeks, and I am always very tired.

Your help is appreciated.

My gasto dr recommended just centrum vitamins as they are gluten free - I have been taking them, plus an omega 3 for about 5 weeks, plus a probiotic - (all gluten free) HOWEVER, I just started to take mangoni - a now product. I love it, I only take 2 tbl spoons a day - I have more energy then I have for quite a while.

Nature made are gluten free!

Nature Made is available at Costco. The Kirkland Multivitamins are also gluten free. The bottles contain 300 to 500 pills each.

You may want to have your iron checked. I'm on iron supplements due to my celiac disease.

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
