Subsitute For Xanthum Gum

Hello all

I have a bag of bread mix that was given to me that calls for 3 1/2tsp of Xanthum gum I am not going to buy a bag of Xanthum gum for $10.00 us for just 3 1/2 tsp, when I will not finish the bag it will go to waste. Can I use Baking Powder or is XG something that you can not subsitute. Thank you for ya'lls suggestions

Fecal Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA 13 Units (Normal Range <10 Units)

Quantitative Microscopic Fecal Fat Score <300 Units (Normal Range <300 Units)

Fecal anti-casein (cow's milk) IgA antibody 12 Units (Normal Range <10 Units)

HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 1 0501

HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 2 0501

Serologic equivalent: HLA-DQ 1,1 (Subtype 5,5)

Yes, I use guar gum instead of xanthan gum, works great! And is way less expensive!

Use the same amount of guar gum as you would xanthan, they're interchangeable!
