New Neutrogena List As Of 6/12/07

I e-mailed Neutrogena about their list as ones I found on here were kinda old. Here is one I got Today, posting it for others. I noticed this says "Wheat Free", so I am still going to check the ingredient lists for Barley or Oats, but I feel if they are going to have some sort of hidden additive it probally will be wheat and not barely or oats.

I would check for oats though...oats are a fairly common ingredient in personal products...I think just about as common as wheat. Probably much less common for barley.

I agree they are VERY common, I had to throw out so many products I had with it. I just think that if they are going to use oats, it will probally list it as it's a good selling point or have it as a main incredient, not hidden under terms "fragrance" or something as a filler.

I have seen barley listed in quite a few clinique products, that kind of surprised me.

All the stuff I've seen it is has been right in the ingerdient list, not hidden at all. I think I saw it in the Liquid mild soap.. I did a post last week on Clinique products and the phone number to call to check the stuff out is in there.

They also check for soy, corn, and rice. :)

Are you refering to ingredient lists on the product packaging, or at the store? None of the Clinique products I have, even the ones I bought recently, have ingredients lists on them at all. I'm in Canada (don't know if there is a difference in Clinique product packaging from US)...apparently all personal products are supposed to now have ingredients lists on them (as of November 2006)...is Clinique not required to follow this regulation? Or are the products they're selling dated pre- Nov 06?

I just bought "Superbalanced Makeup" and that's ingedients are on the box, But the "Calming Cleanser" has the ingedients on the tube itself. I'm in the US, and as long as I remember there has always been ingredients listed. I would contact clinique to be safest, wonder if they change inactive ingredients between countries?

I wonder too. The regular items I bought have no ingredients, but the box from the bonus set does. It's entirely possible that the bonus was newer stuff, so it complies with current regulations. So I did check the listing for the liquid mild soap (it's a small tube in the bonus set) and there is no barley listed that I could see. I did find out that both the mascara and eye shadow has ingredients in them to which I'm allergic (chromium) so I'll just have to pitch them out. Sigh, it sucks to have to watch out for so many allergens!

I There was something in the liquid cleanser that i couldn't have then, i had to get the bar mild soap.

I want to get a set, just scared to buy it and have like 20 things i can't use.

That was some of what I was looking at getting, I am not 100% that my current shampoo is gluten-free, It lists none, but you never know!

I am bummed however that the face lotion that provides SPF 15 Protection and Sunless Tanning is not on the list. The Body version is, but the face isnt' :(

I may have to look into clinique's to see if that is ok for me.

Sunny, thank you! You are very sweet to post this. I use a lot of Neutrogena, and luckily haven't had to throw out a lot of stuff too.

For Clinique, I spent about an hour in the store reading the tiny print and finally got some anti-aging day cream! Almost all had barley or wheat.

Saturday at WalMart, Neutrogena Body Lotion had an oats (or was it barley - sorry didn't write it down) ingredient listed, but the fragrance free body emulsion didn't.

      I'm no longer dealing with constipation. I got my liver test last month and it was in normal range. Two years ago I did have a vitamin D deficiency but I'm know taking vitamin D3 pills. Last month I got my vitamin D checked and it was in normal range. I don't believe I've had my choline checked. However, I do drink almond milk eat Greek yogurt on a daily...

      Hi all,  Looking for some advice. I started having some symptoms this past summer like night sweats and waking at 4 am and felt quite achy in my joints. I was training heavily for cycling for a few weeks prior to the onset of these symptoms starting. I have had low Ferratin for about 4 years (started at 6) and usually sits around 24 give or take. I was doing some research and questioned either or not I might have celiac disease (since I didn’t have any gastric symptoms really). My family doctor ran blood screening for celiac. And my results came back: Tissue Transglutaminase Ab IgA HI 66.6 U/mL Immunoglobulin IgA 1.73 g/ My doctor then diagnosed me with celiac and I have now been gluten free for 3 months. In this time I no longer get night sweats my joint pain is gone and I’m still having trouble sleeping but could very much be from anxiety. I was since referred to an endoscopy clinic to get a colonoscopy and they said I should be getting a biopsy done to confirm celiac. In this case I have to return to eating gluten for 4-6 weeks before the procedure. Just wanted some advice on this. I seem to be getting different answers from my family physician and from the GI doctor for a diagnosis.    Thanks,

Have you been supplementing Iron? How are your liver enzymes? Low levels of ferritin indicate iron deficiency, while  59% transferrin saturation indicates high iron levels.  Possibly indicating Fatty Liver Disease.  Choline is crucial for liver health, and deficiency is a known trigger for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver.  Some experts say that less than 10% eat the the Food and Nutrition Board established Adequate Intake that are based on the prevention of liver damage. Severe constipation and hemorrhoids may be linked to a bile or choline deficiency.  "Ninety-five percent of phospholipids (PLs) in bile is secreted as phosphatidylcholine or lecithin."  Fatty acid composition of phospholipids in bile in man   Deficiency of these bile salts causes the bile to get thick. Some people with Celiac Disease are misdiagnosed with Gall Bladder bile issues.  Removal of the gallbladder provides only temporary relief. Whether or not celiac disease or NCGS are your issues you need to look at your vitamin D blood level.
