Warming Pad For Rising Bread

I remember seeing a warming pad to help yeast bread rise consistently a couple of decades ago but I don't see any now. Has anyone seen one?

One of my cookbooks recommends just using a regular heating pad on low.

Thanks! That's also the answer I received back from the folks at King Arthur Flour Baker's Catalogue. I'm going to try it on my next bake and see how it does. Might be more consistent than using the top of the oven. I'm always baking something in the oven while the bread is rising or I'd try the tip of heating the oven and turning it off.

I put the loaf of bread in the cool oven and turn on the light. This seems to make it just warm enough that the bread rises beautifully. Another suggestion is when you're doing the washing, put the pan of bread on the dryer on top of a cooling rack. This works well, too.

I also do oven (not turned on) with the light on. Works fine.

      Hello, I was very stick, with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel. Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change? What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?...

One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to...

      Is Cracker Barrel`s gluten-free menu safe for kids with celiac disease?

      I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
