Logan's Roadhouse

My family and I (four of us who are intolerant) went to Logan's Roadhouse today for lunch. We'd been before and we've collected several bits of information...

Bbq sauce is gluten-free

Grill seasoning is gluten-free

Ranch dressing is gluten-free

Cheese is gluten-free

Soups, all, are NOT gluten-free

My son had a grilled steak, loaded baked potato, salad (they don't add croutons anyway)

I had a bunless chicken sandwich (grilled chicken, bbq sauce, bacon, cheese) with a plain sweet potato and salad (I ate too much! :P )

Another child had their kids hotdog (no bun) with a loaded baked potato

All of us are doing fine! The prior time we were there the waiter just happened to have a girlfriend who has celiac disease and he was a riot and VERY helpful. This time we just had a really helpful waiter. Next time I'll check on the fryer situation...dedicated or not... (I tend to pester for information bit by bit. )

Anyone been here lately? We are getting one by my house. The web site says they do gluten-free but speak to the manager for the most up-to-date menu. Thanks!

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
