I want to tell you about a wonderful bakery my dear friend Annette has just opened - Sweet Addictions. Her specialty is cake design (her cakes have been on Desperate Housewives, Gilmore Girls, and New Adventures of Old Christine...to name a few). However, since she has two friends w/ special dietary needs (I'm the celiac and Jen is the diabetic), she is now offering sugar-free and gluten free baked goods. She is only offering the gluten free items on Thursdays for the time being. If the demand grows, she will offer them daily. However, you can order them if you need them on another day. She makes all of the gluten-free goodies first thing in the AM and cleans the kitchen and equipment thoroughly to avoid CC. There are gluten-free lemon squares, frosted brownies, cupcakes, banana bread and Peanut butter cookies - I'm really lucky to be the official gluten-free Taste Tester She also made a gluten-free chocolate ganache cake for a function that I had at work - no one knew it was gluten free! NOTE, all of her brownies are gluten-free and available all week (the gluten-free ones tasted so good, she didn't even need to offer a wheat version).
