Restaurants Near Carnegie Hall, Nyc?

Does anyone know of a gluten-free restaurant close by? It needs to be something quick. I actually am one of the grand prize winners in the JK Rowling Open Book Tour and will be meeting her on October 19th! I am so excited but don't want to ruin the evening taking any chances with dinner. I work on the Upper East Side not too far from Lumi but wasn't sure if that would be a quick meal.

Are you looking for someplace specifically with a gluten-free menu? If so, I can't think of anywhere over there that has one. But there are a lot of restaurants in the area that I'm sure could be accomodating. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, I would suggest grabbing a salad at lunch time, put it in the fridge at work, and have that with you.

Or maybe call Lumi ahead of time that day, tell them what you want and let them know the situation. They are really nice there and I can see them being helpful and having it ready if you tell them around what time you'll be in. I love Lumi.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oh my......will the danger never end? It has seemed like no matter what we do or have done the odds were/are against us. Next they'll tell us that just looking at wheat will be dangerous. Oh well....hang in there.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
