For me it's a couple of days of being intestinally off and about a week of brain fog!!!!

I hope you feel better soon!

It is such a horrible ordeal when you are glutened. Maybe 3 or 4 hours later I begin to go into a tailspin, and it lasts days. Are you feeling nausea, abdominal pains? Weak and fatigued? I know, its such crummy feeling, hopefully tomorrow will be a new day for you. Janet

When I first went gluten free a glutening could last up to three weeks! Now, three years later, they usually last a week for me. But it varies from person to person.

I have mild symptoms for about three weeks. Each week is different: week one is stomach problems, week two is fatigue and joint pain, week three is depression. It's fantastic! I'm sure this is not the kind of answer you want to hear, but hang in there!

@Jmartes71, What a stressful journey!  I'm so glad you found your way here.   Have you been checked for nutritional deficiencies?  Doctors don't recognize vitamin deficiency symptoms.  Which supplements are you taking?  Just herbal ones or vitamins?

Do you consume dairy? Have you recently had an infection or cold? Do you have digestive symptoms?   Do you eat processed gluten free foods? What is your Vitamin D level?

@lizzie42, How are your daughter's bowel movements?  Does she have gas, diarrhea or constipation?  Does her squeezing feeling move around in her abdomen or is it consistently in one spot?  Is she dehydrated? How much fruit does she eat?  Fruit juices? I'd recommend cutting out the cheese for a while, till you get it sorted.
