New Gluten Free Restaurant In Calgary

I found a brand new gluten free restaurant in Calgary today. Granted not in an end of town I usually go to but that is okay. They have only been open five weeks. The name is "A tasty Menu," right now they are only open Wed. to Sunday, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm for now until they get more busy. It is a small modestly designed restaurant. They make everything from scratch and even though I am not a thin crust pizza girl, their thin crust pizza is to die for and so is their chocolate cake with cream cheese icing.They are located at #105 - 4202 17th Ave SE on the north side of the road in a small strip mall next to an adult store, phone number is: 403-235-0031. I am so bad, I went back to the restaurant today with another Celiac friend. This time we split a Ceasar Salad that had cheese and garlic croutons, gluten-free of course. It was delicious, then I again had a pizza which was every bit as good as the one yesterday and brought most of it home with me for supper. I also brought another piece of their delicious chocolate cake home with me.

My friend and I travel from Bowness to Forest Lawn for that food and I rarely like travelling out of my area if I don't need or have to but for them I will. We also met a couple from Silver Springs there, we were working on her to open a bigger place in the NW. All of us in there today were having pizza's.

i don't think I would want to try it without refridgeration. Since the Splitt closed here last year we have had no restaurants that are gluten free and now we have one and it has pizza. As you can tell I am crazy happy because it is very good food. They also do vegan for the vegans in the city.

      Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

      Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
