Kari-out Brand Soy Sauce Packets?

So my parents got chinese takeout, which I wasn't willing to risk...but I was playing with one of the soy sauce packets. On most normal soy sauce, the ingredients are water, wheat, soybeans...you know the deal. But I noticed that these particular packets didn't list wheat! They had hydrolyzed corn and soy protein, salt, and some preservatives, but no wheat. Their website didn't tell me much, but does anybody know? If they didn't have wheat, that would be great, because I love going out for sushi but haven't found portable wheat-free soy sauce.

I've never called this company so can't guarantee anything, but if wheat isn't listed, it's almost certainly gluten-free.

If if says no wheat, it should be okay. The other option is to buy a tiny bottle of La Choy and take that along when you go out. It's not great, but it's better than no soy sauce at all.

Kari-Out is gluten free.

hmm, yeah I saw that...but it sounded like they specifically created a special gluten-free sauce that hadn't existed previously?

oh well, the ingredients can't lie I suppose :-)

Kari out packets are available on a website called www.minimus.biz

They carry all sorts of travel sized items. You can alsow get them from www.gluten free.com but they are much cheaper at minimus

Kari-Out is very definitely gluten-free! I order it by the case from the website & carry them in my purse, keep them in my desk @ work, etc. I eat a TON of chinese food & sushi so I was crushed when I thought I couldn't eat soy sauce anymore.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
