i had the worst case of candida known to man. it has been 6 months of gluten free with symptoms of candida still present i'll say. recently i had a major glutenening from rice puffs, cereal stuff; really set me back here. next thing i know i got strep, now i am quite sick. what i am wondering is if anyone thinks it might be a good or bad idea to go and try some antibiotics to fight this thing?

If you have confirmed strep from a throat culture, I would take the antibiotics.

I also have battled with candida over the years from repeated courses of antibiotics for repeated sinus infections. But now I can occasionally take antibiotics with little complications. But to this day, I always take probiotics daily. And when I take the antibiotics, I double the probiotics and start up the natural antifungals again (taken 2 hours after taking the antibiotics. This keeps things under control for me.

I agree that if you have confirmed strep throat you need antibiotics. It's uncommon but untreated strep can cause kidney or heart valve damage in the future.

I wasn't quite clear on your question but if you are asking about antibiotics for candida, I don't think they will help. You would need an antifungal I think.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
