I just got back from a celiac friend's party. There were only three things there that had gluten- cookies, nacho cheese doritos, and pretzels. So obviously I was really excited bc I could eat everything else! except for the fact that the cheese doritos were right next to the ranch doritos (which are safe) and I reached into the wrong bowl and took a bite...whoopsies! heh, my stomach's not thrilled right now. But that didnt stop me from enjoying some glutino chocolate cake! :-) my reactions haven't been as bad lately but I'm worried that it's bc they've been more frequent :-/ major CC issues at home w/ family members who don't get it. but once my mom's celiac panel comes back positive (which I'm all but certain it will) I want the whole house to go gluten-free!

Sorry you glutened yourself. I hate that... I reached for the wrong tea 3 days ago and ended up dosing myself as well (Celestial seasonings Xmas tea, grrr). Day 3 post gluten and I am finally getting better. The tea has been tossed and I made my hubby deal with the new rule that all things in that cabinet are now gluten-free or they go in the trash! At the very least, ask your mom to give you one cabinet just for your stuff so you always have something safe to reach for without thinking about it...

I am working towards making our whole home gluten-free as well, and I think we will all be healtheir for it. As soon as the last of the Spelt flour is gone, then no more gluten flour at all! Hope we both feel better soon!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
