How To Search For Members From A Specific Area

I'm trying to find other members that are near the Kalamazoo/Western Michigan area. I tried a few different ways of searching, but I haven't had any luck with it except finding previous posts they've left. When I do that, I can't find any way to private message them. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to do this that I'm not finding? Any tips would be appreciated.

I don't know of any way to search using the member's location from their profile.

If you are looking a a post, you can easily send a private message. Move your cursor over the member's name at the top left of the post. A dark triangle will appear to the right of the member's name--click the triangle. A small menu will appear, with the third item being "send message." Click that send a PM. Or, click the first option to open the member's profile. You can send a message from there as well, either a PM or (if the member allows it) an email.

One more thought: If the member has an avatar, you can also open their profile by clicking on their avatar.

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
