Sunflower Lecithin Order That Never Arrived

I can't have soy so I ordered a reasonably large order of sunflower lecithin products online from a company in Canada called Crystalline Solutions. Nice website and they were even recommended on a couple of other websites. They warned upon ordering that orders sometimes get stuck in customs for a few days, but to let them know if my order didn't arrive within 30 days. I paid through Pay Pal.

It has been over 2 months now. I have left phone messages and email messages repeatedly. They have never replied. I fear I have been taken.

First, does anyone know anything about this company?

Second, is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks. :(

You can do a chargeback on PayPal. Call your Credit Card company and tell them what happened. They will initiate the chargeback. Be warned that it can take a full 2 months to resolve. But you WILL get your money back. :)

I would contact the company again. Paypal unfortunately is not going to help you if it has been 2 months since you sent the payment. If it has been under 45 days file your dispute today.

From the link provided.

"13.2 Filing Deadlines. We will not grant any Claim unless you first initiate a Dispute in our Resolution Center within 45 Days of the date of the relevant payment and then escalate the Dispute into a Claim within 20 Days of the date you file your Dispute. It is your responsibility to keep track of the deadlines under this section."

Someone did a chargeback on me 4 months after they bought my painting (without even contacting me). They just contacted their credit card company. They got their money back and got to keep my 900.00 painting. Common theft.

PayPal is BUYER friendly. NOT SELLER.

If you cant get ahold of the company, just contact your CC company. They will do the rest. PayPal cant stop it.

I contacted Pay Pal and their dispute process was so complicated I've been going around in circles for two days. All they keep sending me are computer generated responses. After I plow my way through them and file it, they come back with another request for the same data. Where are the human beings?!

I waited this long because the company said that orders can sometimes get delayed in customs. I was trying to be patient and nice. I didn't read Pay Pal's fine print to know about the 2 month deadline. I guess it's buyer beware.

Well, I've sent numerous emails to the company in question and called them and left voice mails many times. It looks like they are either honestly fraudulent or else grossly inept. If they were merely inept, then I think they would have just taken off their site by now to avoid further problems. I have concluded that they are probably fraudulent since their website continues to brazenly advertise their wares with new price breaks and free shipping offers as though nothing were wrong. I wish I hadn't ordered so much. I hate losing that much money. It's too bad that companies can get by with this stuff online. It's common stealing.

I will try the credit card thing you described. I used my debit card so I don't know if that changes things any.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

UPDATE:

I just received a nice email from the president of Crystalline Solutions. He apologized and said that they had unfortunately had a personal tragedy and the company had been shut down for several weeks. If that is true, then it explains everything.

He graciously offered to return my money or send out my products by FEDEX. He also said that I would be receiving a thank you gift for my trouble.

I wanted to be sure to include this update. I have no interest in badmouthing any honest company just because they are going through some hard times. I really appreciated hearing from them and am hopeful that the problem will truly be resolved.

I will try to post again if the product does arrive.

Is there a digestive enzyme that helps build a healthier gut? I see people taking them but not sure what really works

So the tTG-IGA at 28 is positive for celiac disease. There are some other medical conditions that can cause elevated tTG-IGA but this is unlikely. There are some people for whom the dairy protein casein can cause this but by far the most likely cause is celiac disease. Especially when your small bowel lining is "scalloped". Your Serum IGA 01 (aka, "total IGA") at 245 mg/dl is within normal range, indicating you are not IGA deficient. But I also think it would be wise to take your doctor's advice about the sucraid diet and avoiding dairy . . . at least until you experience healing and your gut has had a chance to heal, which can take around two years. After that, you can experiment with adding dairy back in and monitor symptoms. By the way, if you want the protein afforded by dairy but need to avoid casein, you can do so with whey protein powder. Whey is the other major protein in dairy.

hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents   . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood test that day. i just got my results back and it indicates celiac disease i think 😭   im honestly happy bc now i KNOW and i can go gluten free. and i am SO MAD at this doctor for dismissing me for a simple blood test that wouldn’t have cost her anything !!!!!!!!!!! im sorry, im so emotional right now, i have been sick my whole life and never knew why, i feel so much better already   my results from labcorp:   Celiac Ab tTG TIgA w/Rflx Test Current Result and Flag Previous Result and Date Units Reference Interval t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 01 28 High U/mL 0-3 Negative 0 - 3 Weak Positive 4 - 10 Positive >10 Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) has been identified as the endomysial antigen. Studies have demonstrated that endomysial IgA antibodies have over 99% specificity for gluten sensitive enteropathy. Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 01 245 mg/dL 87-352

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.
