I thought of you guys that are nightshade free when I saw this recipe so I have to pass it on. I haven't tried it but the picture looks sooo scrumptious!! :P Sounds very easy to make. Let me know if its good and if it would be good with chicken if you try it. Thanks! My dd doesn't like onions and peppers so this would be good to try. The pic looks like a fruited stir fry. Darn, I wish my dh hadn't eaten those 2 plums I bought the other day. <_<

From the Pillsbury book: Chicken, Beef and Pork

Plum And Apple Pork Tenderloin

1 tsp. oil

1 lb. pork tenderloins, cut into 1/4" slices

1/4 tsp. salt, if desired

1/8 tsp. pepper

2 ripe plums, pitted, sliced

1 large apple, unpeeled, sliced

1/2 cup apple cider or apple juice

2 T. brown sugar

2 tsps. cornstarch

1 T. water

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add pork; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until pork is tender and no longer pink. Add plums, apples and apple cider. Cover, simmer 10 minutes or until fruit is tender.

Meanwhile, in small bowl combine remaining ingredients; add to skillet. Cook over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute. 4 (1-cup ) servings.

FYI...I finally bought some more plums and tried this recipe. It's really good, fast and easy. I made it with chicken.

Perfect replacement for nightshade free stir fry or even sweet and sour...no peppers and onions. Kids would like it too :) DELICIOUS!

oops, I just reread the recipe and I forgot to use salt and pepper...oh well...

HeyItsA Apprentice

That sounds sooo good!!

What is nightshade?

Thanks

Amanda :)

That sounds sooo good!!

What is nightshade?

Thanks

Amanda :)

I am not allergic to nightshades but I think its: onions, assorted peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, tobacco, potatoes, paprika, cayenne...

THE RECIPE IS SO EASY TOO!!

Thanks, I do include chia seeds and ground flax seed in my diet to help as well but on days that I'm not close to my target of 30 grams of fiber, I would add the Benefiber. My IBS-C was much better with both natural foods and the supplement so I will continue to search for another natural supplement that is not based on wheat to have when needed. Thanks

Welcome @Trish G to the forum. Hard or lumpy stools and infrequent bowel movements.  My brother likes Phillips Stool Softener, Ducolate Sodium.   Just a question. Was the benefiber helping?

I think you may be correct. The way the results are printed makes it appear as though it’s the ttg iga but I think you’re right—the 646 is total iga. So this would be indicative of another issue (another autoimmune condition, infection, cancer, etc.) and my doctor would need to do further testing. Thank you for saying this!

Are you sure that is the TTG IgA? Based on the units (mg/dL) and having an upper limit to the normal range, it looks like a total IgA result.

I am wondering if there are any vegetarians or vegans on this forum. I’ve been vegan for 15+ years and am just finding out I likely have celiac disease (blood panel done, need biopsy). My favorite foods—outside of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds—I will likely have to give up. Anyone else?
