Pilates Dvd

I travel for a living so it's hard to get into a consistent work-out routine. My hotels don't always have gyms. I love pilates and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good pilates DVD. I figure if I can find a good DVD, I can just plug it into my laptop and workout in my hotel room. Most hotel gyms have treadmills for cardio, or I can just (gasp) run outside. But, decent weight machines are hard to come by!

Thanks!

I have one called Stott Pilates Core Challenge with Moira Merrithew that's pretty good. You can also pack some therabands in your suitcase and do resistance exercises with those (when you can't find decent weight machines).

I like Stott Pilates too. They have quite a few DVDs and several levels of difficulty. If you've never done pilates I'd recommend starting with level 1 so you learn proper form. You'll only need the level 1 DVD for a week or two so you might consider renting it.

When I traveled Open Original Shared LinkDenise Austin was my standard workout. It only takes 20 minutes and you don't need any props.

I've used Windsor pilates for 5 years, it's worked really well for me.

I use the stott pilates dvd's too. They have worked really well, another good thing about pilates is that it's relaxing!

Interesting, when I suffered for a few months with ectopics I noticed that carbohydrates would cause indigestion and bloating in my stomach, then that would lead to my heart skipping beats, and I could feel it in my throat, it was very unsettling.  My last serious bout of this was after eating a Muller Rice Pudding for breakfast.   I happened to be wearing a 48 hour halter at the time and cardiology picked it up, but they weren't worried about what they saw. There was some British doctor who'd made some videos on the Vagus nerve that I remember watching at the time which made sense of what I was experiencing, there did seem to be some sort of connection.

I asked my cardiologist about stopping vitamins.  He said his tests account for all detectable vitamins from sources other than food.  I only need to stop them for a couple of days.  He has me keep records of meds and vitamins I've ingested over the past 10 days and prior and he does his calculations.

Reply to treats I try and eat to bring up the glucose. Sometime I get up 3 times a night and eat something. I don't think food is the issue. A lot of the food they say should help doesn't.  Many mornings my level is 59 and I feel sick, sometimes for hours. It has been recommended I go to an Endocrinologist.
