I copied this recipe from someone somewhere and forgot to write down where I got it so thanks to whom ever you are.

(my alterations included)

df/gluten-free Chex Party Mix

1/3 cup light olive oil

2 T. L&P Worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt (I use less)

1 tsp. garlic powder(I add 1/2 tsp. onion powder too)

9 cups Rice Chex

1 cup nuts (I add shelled pumpkin and sunflower seeds)

1 cup pretzels

1 cup rice crackers (I just use more Chex/nuts)

Stir together in large pan and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

I stir oil, sauce, seasonings in a tilted pan, then stir in the nuts until well coated, then add the rest.

I plan to use homemade pretzels as a replacement for pretzels/rice crackers, if I can get them into the Chex Mix before we eat them:

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
