Our local grocery sells Rice Chex for $3.99 for a stupid 10-oz box, and the Target in the same shopping center sells a larger box for $1.68!

Yay Target!

celiacs love rice chex!

but stock up now while the price is low. my local Walmart did the same thing a few months back...at first they were $1.66 a box. then the price went up to $2.00 and now it's $2.98. still cheaper than the grocery stores but the price doubled in a matter of a few months.

i found it on sale at genuardi's (safeway) earlier this week, but the sale is over. so keep you eye out there, too!

Also keep your eye out for coupons. I snagged a bunch of boxes that had coupons for $3 off when you buy any 3 GM cereals.

I got excited about the Target deal when someone else reported it, but when I went looking, the cost was well over $3 - pretty comparable to everywhere else. I did get in on the $1.66 Walmart deal, though. I'll keep watching Target.

Seems to be on sale often, but Target gets half our business for being consistently lower on many items.

I didn't think rice chex were gluten free.

The formula was changed a few months ago, and the new formula is gluten-free.You have to look at the box, since the old stuff may still be available in stores, but the new production is gluten-free.

Rice Chex is not only now gluten free, but they make a big old deal about it on the box, and one of the side panels tells all about celiac disease and gluten sensitivity!!

I found it at that price at my Target a few weeks ago. I bought 10 boxes most of which I'm planning to send to my friend who is at a convent in NY. She said there are a seminarian and friar who both have celiac and when a cereal is donated that they can eat everyone gets so excited, LOL. When she visited last I sent back some gluten-free foods with her for them. The price at Target means I can send them several boxes of gluten-free cereal that I know will be greatly appreciated!

I just realized that I forgot to put the cost in my post abouve about Safeway (genuardi's)...it was $1.50 per box...the cheapest I have seen anywhere, and I almost didn't believe it so double and triple checked the sign and also when paying for it. I don't know if it will go that low again, but I check every time I go in!

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
