I would only add that cross contamination with wheat may still be a possibility, so it's still best to seek out buckwheat that is labeled "gluten-free." -

I agree great information. I was diagnosed in my 20s with Celiac Disease and remain on a very strict diet. I have found recently that some "Gluten Free" items have those ingredients and I have suffered for that. Thank you.- additives
