Enjoy Life Granola

I know there have been a lot of people who have commented in past threads about how the Enjoy Life Granola is basically inedible because it is rock hard and impossible to chew. Well I thought everyone might want to know that they've reformulated their recipe, and now it is soooooo much better! The consistency is more like that of regular granola and it is so easy to chew! It makes me so happy to be able to eat it without fearing that I'll break a tooth :lol:

If anybody decides to try it again, just beware that they've only just made the switch, so only the bags that say "new and improved recipe" with a 55 cent coupon attached to them are the new ones, all the rest are still the rock solid kind.

For anybody who hated it before, I would definitely consider giving it a second chance now!

This is good to hear I am one of the weirdo's who actually really liked the old version of the granola. However I bought a bag of the new formulated cereal and nearly broke a tooth. I mean it was harder than the original so hopefully I just got a fluke bag of the new recipe! I will try it again

Thanks for posting. I'm going to try it again. I bought one or two bags of it, and had to have my jaw realigned both times!! LOL :lol:

Seriously, I didn't find it to be very palatable. I'll give it another shot though.

Is it for all the granolas? The recipe seems to be the same online.

Ooh--thanks for posting this! I've held off buying the granola because of the reports of it being so hard. I'll look for the new packages :D

There is one by Bakery on Main that is really good. It has a lot of nuts and corn flakes. There is a cranberry one that is DANK!

Yeah - it is for all granolas. I don't know why they haven't posted anything about it online but I e-mailed the company and they verified that they changed the recipe and soon all the stores will be selling the new kind. I guess they're just behind on their web update :D

That's funny - I'm eating the Enjoy Life new and improved... Very Berry Crunch while I was reading this. It's pretty good. Doesn't seem too hard, though I didn't try the previous version of it. Very high in carbs though...

The new version is definitely better - much more like 'real' granola. But it's still too sweet. :/

      hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood t...

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      @GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

      hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents   . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood test that day. i just got my results back and it indicates celiac disease i think 😭   im honestly happy bc now i KNOW and i can go gluten free. and i am SO MAD at this doctor for dismissing me for a simple blood test that wouldn’t have cost her anything !!!!!!!!!!! im sorry, im so emotional right now, i have been sick my whole life and never knew why, i feel so much better already   my results from labcorp:   Celiac Ab tTG TIgA w/Rflx Test Current Result and Flag Previous Result and Date Units Reference Interval t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 01 28 High U/mL 0-3 Negative 0 - 3 Weak Positive 4 - 10 Positive >10 Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) has been identified as the endomysial antigen. Studies have demonstrated that endomysial IgA antibodies have over 99% specificity for gluten sensitive enteropathy. Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 01 245 mg/dL 87-352
