5 Kitchen Essentials For A gluten-free Kitchen?

I don't use a toaster at all. I've been gluten-free for 3 years now. I have a ritual I do with the microwaving, where I defrost a slice or two of gluten-free bread and then cook for 15-20 seconds. I also fry the frozen bread in a pan with butter or spray butter, on recommendation of someone in my support group and it is DY-NA-MITE!

My favorite gluten-free products are Glutino pretzels, Kinnickinnick breads, Mrs. Leepers and Tinkyada brown rice pastas, Gluten Free Pantry Croutons, The Cravings Place pancakes (add an egg), and crackers and anything by Schar, Pamela's walnut choc. chip cookies, Rice Chex cereal, and simple chips that are made from corn (or potatoes) salt, and oil.

A joyful outlook (to carry you through the bad moments--and there will be some)

This gave me a good laugh! It is so true. I would add to that....a good glass of wine. My husband always poured me a glass when I said I was going to try a new bread or pizza dough, lol.

Julia Child! Love her.

We use plastic cutting boards, and I've put them through the dishwasher - is it necessary to get new ones, or do I only need to if they're wood?

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
