I usually get Stonyfield Farms Vanilla yogurt but thought while at the store tonight I would try the individual servering (4 pack) of the Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt in Vanilla....

I looked at the ingredients they all looked safe and I have gotten their normal yogurt before with no problems but now I am second guessing this item b/c it doesn't have their gluten free certified stamp on it (like the others do)....

Has anyone else had this before?

Stoneyfield Farms main website talks about gluten free but the Oikos website (oikosorganic.com) does not.

I am going to call the company tomorrow to check on this but thought I'd ask you guys first if you know if this yogurt is gluten free?

I called and talked to one of the reps today...

She said that the ingredients are gluten free. They are going through oragnic/gluten free certification right now to get the gluten free certified put on the greek yogurt should be around Aug/Sept.

Yes, the Greek Yogurt is gluten free. I called today when I picked some up at the store. Two weeks ago they received their certification. All new packages will be labeled gluten free.

I picked up one of the 4-packs of Oikos Greek yogurt, blueberry flavor, stamped gluten free...ate it without hesitation, and I got SICK -- sicker than I have been since I was unwittingly given something that had a roux. The only other thing I ate all day was King Arthur gluten-free muffins, so it had to be the Oikos... :-((

Really? I would put money on King Arthur's. That said, it could be many other things...

Its really rare that any normal flavored yogurt would NOT be gluten free. I don't think the Oiko's made you sick..

      Is there a digestive enzyme that helps build a healthier gut? I see people taking them but not sure what really works

      Disaccharide deficient, confusing biopsy results, no blood test

      So the tTG-IGA at 28 is positive for celiac disease. There are some other medical conditions that can cause elevated tTG-IGA but this is unlikely. There are some people for whom the dairy protein casein can cause this but by far the most likely cause is celiac disease. Especially when your small bowel lining is "scalloped".       hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood t...

      Thoughts? Non-endoscopic Celiac diagnosis in two year old

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      So the tTG-IGA at 28 is positive for celiac disease. There are some other medical conditions that can cause elevated tTG-IGA but this is unlikely. There are some people for whom the dairy protein casein can cause this but by far the most likely cause is celiac disease. Especially when your small bowel lining is "scalloped". Your Serum IGA 01 (aka, "total IGA") at 245 mg/dl is within normal range, indicating you are not IGA deficient. But I also think it would be wise to take your doctor's advice about the sucraid diet and avoiding dairy . . . at least until you experience healing and your gut has had a chance to heal, which can take around two years. After that, you can experiment with adding dairy back in and monitor symptoms. By the way, if you want the protein afforded by dairy but need to avoid casein, you can do so with whey protein powder. Whey is the other major protein in dairy.

Studies have demonstrated that endomysial IgA antibodies have over 99% specificity for gluten sensitive enteropathy. Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 01 245 mg/dL 87-352
