Two years ago...just before I turned 40, I went to my doctor because I had such pain in my hands and shoulders...okay all my joints! that I couldn't even pick up a pen. She sent me to a Rhematologist to rule out Lupis and RA, because me SED rate and ANA was also high. He put me on anti-inflammatories stating I had arthritis related to psoriasis (sp) which I have had since I was a child. That bothered my stomach, so I had to take omiprezole. Well, three weeks ago (or so) I was dx celiac and went gluten free. Today I saw my Rhem. Doc and told him I haven't taken the meds for a week and have had no pain. I NO LONGER NEED THE MEDS!!! :D I still miss the breads...but I am loving the results.

I really have to say thank you to all of you out there who have given me advice through these last 3 weeks as well. It has made it easier to figure things out. Tonight my DH said he wants to take my step daugh for lunch tomorrow before she heads off to college. I could comfortably...confidently give input on options for restaurants I knew could meet my needs because of all of you! THANK YOU

You are a very lucky lady. I have been fighting my psoriatic arthritis for 2-1/2 years since gluten free and for several before that (maybe that's the problem). I am just now getting to the point, after pinpointing all my other intolerances, that I think I might be able to give up my Humira injections which have been keeping me going.

I am so happy for you that the diet has resolved your symptoms; maybe mine too?? We'lll see. :)

Great news, you must be really getting that inflammation down. Do a little happy dance and enjoy your meal. Do speak up at the restaurant and let them know you are gluten free so they will take the proper precautions.

I love reading all the "success" stories and hearing the happiness and joy when people's symptoms are lessened or even alleviated.

      Gluten free Yogurt suggest

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free. Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by...

      FDA looking for input on Celiac Gluten sensitivity labeling PLEASE READ and submit your suggestions

      I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

      I have a One Pot and decided to start using it one day. I was hesitant at first making my own yogurt, but was surprised at how easy it was. I like mine better too.

      Because I spend so much time reading every word on all food packaging, I personally would greatly appreciate it if there was one common gluten-free symbol written in large-enough text, and always located in the same place. That alone will make shopping easier and faster. I dread having to buy packaged food. Thank you very much for asking,

      I do believe that people are under so much pressure up have a sleeping pattern , with working and how households work these days , but in reality there is no wrong or right at to sleep , I believe your neighbour showed this with such a long life , I do exactly the same at night many times so I hope I live into my nineties also , I have found one thing...

Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.
