We travelled from Toronto this weekend and hit the PA outlets. On the way home I visited Whole Foods Co-op in Erie and cleaned them out of Udi's products :P .

I've never had Udi's before and been dying to try it! Well....what can I say other than WOW!!!! :o:o My son, who has refused every gluten free bread since being diagnosed a few months back LOVES their bread. He had his first sandwich in months and right in time for school lunches! We also tried the pizza crusts last night and he ate the whole thing. This is just an amazing accomplishment from the pickiest 6 year old I know!

Udi's should be very proud of themselves for bringing such great products back into the lives of Celiacs. I can't wait til they come to Canada but honesly, the products are so good that I will make the 4 hour drive every few months if necessary and load up!

Just wanted to post my good news. I am SO happy to be able to bring a sandwich to work tha doesn't taste like cardboard.....

Hubby had his first Udi's last week too and loved it. I'm mildly allergic to eggs, so while I'm preggers, I'm staying away, but I can't wait to try a PBJ! Can you get Udi's shipped to Canada? It might be more cost effective than the drive.

Oooh I totally forgot about PB & J!!! Can't wait. That'll be tomorrow for lunch ;)

I checked out shipping and I think it's over $100 just for the bread so I can only imagine what it'd be with everything else I want to pick up. Hopefully they start carrying Udi's in Ontario soon!

      Our support groups in Iowa have tried for years to educate doctors and resource sites like this one. We have held yearly conferences with continued education classes. We have brought in Dr. Murray, Dr. Fasano, Dr. Green and Dr. elliott. In those many years we may have had 2 doctors attend. We sent them information, with no response. I talked to...

      If you have DH you will likely also want to avoid iodine, which is common in seafoods and dairy products, as it can exacerbate symptoms in some people. This article may also be helpful as it offers various ways to relieve the itch:

      You might also consider a low iodine diet as iodine is know to exacerbate dermatitis herpetiformis. But be careful with that as well as there are health problems that can accrue from iodine deficiency.

      Hi, Yes, the rash has gone. I still get the itches but there is nothing to see now, apart from a lot of discoloured areas where the rash was worst. Occasionally I get a single lump come up, a bit like hives, but no bigger than a pea and it goes after 24hrs and a steroid cream application. And yes, giving the gluten-free diet 110%. Very careful...

      Our support groups in Iowa have tried for years to educate doctors and resource sites like this one.  We have held yearly conferences with continued education classes.   We have brought in Dr. Murray, Dr. Fasano, Dr. Green and Dr. elliott.  In those many years we may have had 2 doctors attend.  We sent them information, with no response.  I talked to my personal doctor and she said their training for Celiac was to show them a skinny man in boxer shorts and a huge stomach.  Saying if you see this, it is Celiac.  If it isn't in their playbook then they don't care.  Most call it an allergy with no mention of our immune system.  There is so much false information on the internet.  Then people don't understand why they can't get well and are acquiring more immune diseases. I mention this site to everyone.  Scott has working hard for the Celiac community.
