Just Got Back From Colon/endo

Just got back from my colonoscopy/endoscopy. The doc said everything looked fine, but that he did take a biopsy for celiac (and for something else that could cause ulcers.) I hope to god that it turns up being celiac because it will explain everything - otherwise, I'm back to square one.

How likely is it that if the doc didn't see anything on the video that it could still wind up being celiac from the biopsy?

I really hope when he said he took 'a' biopsy that doesn't mean he only took one sample. They should take at least 6 from different areas. Since the villi need to be viewed through a microscope everything can appear normal but you can still have a positive biopsy. If you have had the blood work done already you can now start a trial of the diet. You don't need to wait on the results. Since the rate of false negatives on both blood and biopsy are pretty high you need to do a trial no matter whether they are negative or not. Your body may give you the answer before the results are even in.
