Vegan gluten-free Pumpkin Pie?

Every year, I try a new pumpkin pie recipe because I've been so dissapointed in my prior attempts. I had to throw away 4 mini pies last year because they were so gross. I'm asking for help again with a gluten free, egg free, dairy free pumpkin pie. I would love something traditional tasting, but I'm open for anything that will be yummy pumpkin. I searched the web, and there are some options out there I have not tried yet, but I was hoping some of you had a recipe you liked.

By the way, easy personal apple pie: make the filling in a mini pie tin, then top with gluten-free sugar cookie mix cut in with butter and vanilla. Bake until golden brown. You basically get a pie with a big cookie on top.

Egg free is hard. Coconut milk works for the dairy though.

have you tried nut flours, or seed flours as egg replacements? Like almond, or buckwheat?

I've not tried this particular recipe, but I would trust anything this woman puts on her blog!! This is the pie I will be making this year...

I have one in my upcoming gluten-free, vegan baking book. I can't post the recipe online (copyright issues), but can send you a PM if you are interested.

I like this one a lot! Just have to figure out what to use for the crust Open Original Shared Link

I just made a gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, vegan, soy-free, corn-free, pumpkin pie a few days ago. It was also sugar-free thanks to Stevia. Except for the crust, it can even be a no-bake pie. Was thinking of posting the recipe. So, I guess I'd better measure everything next time so I can post a recipe that'll work without guessing. Hope you can wait a few days...

I'll be trying this one too. It looks great and I'm hoping it's worth making 2.

hi, i want to say thank you to you and @trents   . after 2 phone calls to my GI, her office called me back to tell me that a blood test was “unnecessary” and that we should “follow the gold standard” and since my biopsy did not indicate celiac, to follow the no dairy and sucraid diet. i luckily have expendable income and made an appt for the labcorp blood test that day. i just got my results back and it indicates celiac disease i think 😭   im honestly happy bc now i KNOW and i can go gluten free. and i am SO MAD at this doctor for dismissing me for a simple blood test that wouldn’t have cost her anything !!!!!!!!!!! im sorry, im so emotional right now, i have been sick my whole life and never knew why, i feel so much better already   my results from labcorp:   Celiac Ab tTG TIgA w/Rflx Test Current Result and Flag Previous Result and Date Units Reference Interval t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 01 28 High U/mL 0-3 Negative 0 - 3 Weak Positive 4 - 10 Positive >10 Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) has been identified as the endomysial antigen. Studies have demonstrated that endomysial IgA antibodies have over 99% specificity for gluten sensitive enteropathy. Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 01 245 mg/dL 87-352

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.
