But, I Wasn't Glutened!

Monday night had a massage with some sandlewood essential oil added to massage oil (my biotone has never been a problem). Post nasal drip began, then constantly had to clear my throat...ridiculously constant.

Tuesday cold symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, sore throat) but didn't really feel physically too tired.

Wednesday continued with Tuesday symptoms, but a deep chest cough and sick to stomach in the evening (thought I was gonna lose it) which is unuual (only had baked salmon, brown rice, and sugar snap peas). The only change for today was adding some oregano supplements my naturopath gave me to help with sinus.

Thursday chest cough and feel exhausted...stuffy nose, weak, achey, tired, blah. It's 3:30 pm and now a little sick at stomach.

The cold symptoms can typically be reaction for me...but never this bad, nor for this long, and seems to get worse each day. What will tomorrow bring??

Any suggestions please? Is this a glutening...from sandlewood essential oil? I only used a tiny bit in a 4 oz bottle of biotone.

Could you possibly have a bona fide virus. I blame everything on food, forgetting that I might actually be sick in real life.

Hope you feel better soon.

I would think you have a cold, given the cold symptoms. (Post nasal drip can cause stomach upset quite commonly.)

I do believe you are sick my dear.

I do believe you are sick my dear.

...didn't want to admit it. Hmmmmm, I know what you mean though by blaming it all on food.

Thanks for your replies.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
