What's Up With The Gas?

I hadn't had this symptom before and all of a sudden, I have this horrible gas stuck inside me every single day. I am not constipated so why would I have it? I feel it first thing in the morning even before I eat and then definitely after I eat. Anybody has an explanation for this? Especially since I am regular?

Thanks!

How long have you been gluten-free? That happened to me about after a week of gluten-free, where I was terribly gassy all day before and after eating no matter what. I'm wondering if it's not a detox symptom. I am somewhat constipated, but still have it on days I'm not. I just drink aloe juice, take enzymes with big meals, and take one or two Gas-X a day. I also bought some fennel tea to try 'cause it's supposed to help, but I haven't used it yet.

I've been gluten-free for about 6 months and that was definitely an issue for me for at least 2 or 3 months but am happy to report, it is much (much) better now. =)

OK good to know that will progbably pass. I've been gluten-free for several months but started to really stick to eat just recently (not celiac, just intolerant).

Got some fennel tea over lunch and it does seem to be helping!

I don't know how much milk you drink but for me, shortly after going gluten free, I had this problem and it turned out to be a lactose intolerance due to the damage in the small intestine.

Hope you feel better!

i get painful/trapped gas SO freakin easily... before i knew about Gluten Intolerance.... and after i went gluten free... i WISH removing gluten was enough for me- but unfortunately i have SO MANY additional intolerances

suffering right now- i think i overdid it with the greens & banana smoothie today (i have fructose/fructans issues)... and then i had a 1/2 grilled cheese for dinner- Udi's bread & cheddar- and i sometimes cant handle dairy & ANY starches...

so... im suffering right now- i took 3 or 4 gas ex gel caplets.... and my body just doesnt get rid of it well- it takes forever

Have you tried fennel tea, peppermint tea, or any other "natural" gas remedies?

I just ask because the fennel tea I have is specifically marketed for IBS symptoms.

cassP Contributor

hey Strawberry- i dont know if you're talkin to me- but thanks for the info- i dont like peppermint tea- but im tots gonna look for the fennel :)

Strawberry-Jam Enthusiast

oh yeah I was, sorry. I can't have peppermint tea either or it'll give me reflux :( but I like the fennel ok. It has a licorice taste. Might take some getting used to, unless you like licorice.

But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
