Rash Doesn't Itch. Still Related To Celiacs?

When I talked to my dr. about it, he only mention rashes being on the elbows and knees. My rash is on one elbow and on my ankles. I read that some of you have it on the ankles, but when I should it to my dr. he said he didn't think the ones on my ankles were related but neither confirmed or denied the one on my elbow. The rashes don't itch at all. They are thick and are extremely rough, like sand paper. I have tried everything to make them go away. From creams and lotions to herb pack and tea tree oil. I have exfoliated to the point that they were bleeding, nothing works. Its extremely annoying because it fabric sticks to it almost like Velcro. The weird thing is I have very oily acne prone skin, so the dry patches make no sense.

I had a rash that spread all across my stomach, down my hips, up under my arms and I even had a patch across my forehead. It didn't itch and nothing made it go away. It disappeared after 4 days gluten free. So just because it doesn't conform to the typical gluten rash doesn't mean it's not a gluten reaction.

I itched like mad and had small red sores on my scalp, face, forehead, but it was not DH. I used all the stuff you mention here, too with no luck. Creamed myself silly. My legs and feet itched and I had split cracked heels. My scalp was one big rash ---red and it Peeled!! My hair fell out. It was ugly.

All better since I went gluten-free. Except when I am accidentally glutened. And my hair is still struggling to grow back in, but the rashes are gone.

You can have all sorts of skin issues with this. This is from "300 symptoms of Celiac"...

Hello, just popped in my head to ask this question about medications and celiac? I have always had refurse reaction to meds since I can remember  of what little meds my body is able to tolerate. I was taking gabapentin 300mg for a week,  in past I believe 150? Any ways it amps me up not able to sleep, though very tired. However I did notice it helped with my bloating sibo belly.I hate that my body is that sensitive and medical doesn't seem to take seriously. Im STILL healing with my skin, eye, and now ms or meningioma ( will know in April  which)and dealing with this limbo nightmare. I did write my name, address ect on the reclamation but im not tech savvy and not sure if went through properly. I called my city representative in Stanislaus County and asked if theres a physical paper i can sign for proclamation for celiac and she had no clue about what I was saying, so I just said I'll go back on website.

I'm not saying that some celiacs won't need it, but it should be done under a doctor's supervision because it can cause lots of problems in some people.

I also noticed I get debilitating migraines when I smell gluten, wheat and its not taken seriously when it affects one in every way.Im still begging to properly be heard.I also noticed tolerance level is down the drain with age and life changes. I have been told by incompetent medical that im not celiac or that sensitive. Diagnosed in 1994 by gi biopsy gluten-free ever since along with other lovely food allergies. Prayers

trents:  Why some can tolerate european bread but not american bread.     I take 600 mcg a day.  Right in the middle of the safe range.   Groups at Risk of Iodine Inadequacy Though though the NIH does not specifically list Celiac Disease in this group, they state: "Iodide is quickly and almost completely absorbed in the stomach and duodenum. Iodate is reduced in the gastrointestinal tract and absorbed as iodide [2,5]."  That would certainly include malabsorption of Iodine due to Celiac Disease with resultant Iodine Deficiency. Vegans and people who eat few or no dairy products, seafood, and eggs People who do not use iodized salt Pregnant women People with marginal iodine status who eat foods containing goitrogens Deficiencies of iron and/or vitamin A may also be goitrogenic [51] https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Iodine-HealthProfessiona   1
