Artisanal Gluten-Free Cupcakes:

I bought this book on Saturday and finally had time (and ingredients) to make a batch of cupcakes.

I am in heaven, I just made the snickerdoodle cupcakes and used store bought vanilla icing. The texture and flavor are wonderful! I don't feel like I am eating a gluten free cupcake. I really like this book because it not only has cupcake recipes but also a few extras like a gluten free snickerdoodle cookie recipe.

The basic gluten-free flour mix they use has brown rice flour, sorghum flour, potato flour, potato starch, cornstarch, xantham gum...

I found all the ingredients easily except for potato flour but I used extra brown rice flour instead. Potato flour and potato starch flour is not the same thing btw. I was able to find Swan brand potato starch flour which is starch (not flour even though it's in the name). I did read where you can take instant potato flakes and grind them to make potato flour but just didn't want to bother with that.

Anyway, wanted to share my new find. : )

Is this from "Artisanal Gluten-Free Cooking" cookbook by Kelli Bronski and Peter Bronski?

Pretty sure it's the same people but different book. This one is all cupcakes and has a cupcake on the cover. Is it ok to post a link?

Yep, same people, different cookbook. It looks awesome! Maybe I need to pretend I didn't hear about it? :D Their recipes in the cookbook were really good.

Yes, please :)

I took a bunch to work because I had NO self control on these and no one would have known they were gluten free if I hadn't told them.

Ok, I tried to add the link but it got all wonky and when I check it it said "company name removed because they spammed the forum"? sorry.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
