I made turkey and rice meatballs the night before the recall was announced. At first they didn't tell the brand names.

I had used Perdue brand. It says gluten free on the package. Whew! I bought it at Krogers. It looks like we dodged a bullet?

Cook it thoroughly is the message that keeps coming out of this recall notice. I think making turkey burgers or meatloafs would be the hardest to make sure it's cooked well. Use a meat thermometer. I usually cook mine crumbled for things like chili so I know it's cooked well ( no big clump with a slightly raw inside).

I have to avoid so many things already that I refuse to give up ground chuck. At least this time I am safe!

Some might. Some might not. Why don't you try it? Taste is a very personal and individual thing. I don't know that anyone can speak for you.

Want to know if people like the taste with chocolate milk

Welcome to the forum, @Thoas! Just curious. Why do you ask? Is there some reason you are hesitant to try it besides taste?

Has anyone made cream of buckwheat using chocolate milk?

I was instructed to take Algaecal as alternative to bisphosphonate drugs for osteoporosis. I did for 2 years, 1200 mg a day. My cholesterol spiked above normal during this time. We watched it and finally determined best to get a test to see if calcium was causing the spike. I have never had high cholesterol before. Could the celiac non absorption have caused calcium to build in my arteries? Now put on a statin to lower cholesterol (began at 180 went to 240 while on Alcagal). thanks
