Afraid To Eat

So I've been gluten-free since February. Had a few hiccups with the diet early on (some accidental, some just me being angry and trying to prove that gluten is NOT the problem...lol, it IS!!), but otherwise I have been feeling really good. Fast forward to the last 3 weeks...I had to travel for work, almost 4 weeks ago, which meant eating away from home for every meal for a week. I think I did ok, but I was starving. When I came home, I started a new job, ended a 4 year relationship, and fell into a bit of a stress induced depression. I was on a "comfort" food binge for awhile - which for me meant a lot more carbs, sugar, and alcohol than I normally consume. Everything was gluten-free, but my gut feels awful. Every day at around 3pm, I get terribly bloated and gassy (sorry). I'm currently SO uncomfortable and it's 5pm. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat - it always happens at the same time. Today for lunch I had a salad and some fruit!! Haven't had 1 real carbohydrate today, but I still feel terrible. Could I just be recovering from my carb binge?? I'm thinking that I need to cut them all out (mostly) for awhile and see what happens. Just wondering if anyone had any words of wisdom. I'm hungry ALL the time, but I'm afraid to eat anything because I get soooo bloated.

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.

Some interesting articles regarding the use of Zinc Carnosine to help heal gastric ulcers, gastritis and intestinal permeability. I would consult a medical professional about it's use. https://www.nature.com/articles/ncpgasthep0778 https://www.rupahealth.com/post/clinical-applications-of-zinc-carnosine---evidence-review https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/ https://www.fallbrookmedicalcenter.com/zinc-l-carnosine-benefits-dosage-and-safety/

He is. Which makes everything even more difficult. I’m not a believer in “staying for the kids” but I have nowhere to go and it’s not just me, it’s me plus my babies. We live in a beautiful place, lots of land in the country and me and the kids love the place we’ve called home for their entire lives. But Im seeing that he’ll never change, that my kids deserve a happy healthy Momma, and that staying in this as is will be the early death of me. Then I look at the scars covering my entire body…this disease and the chronic stress I’ve been enduring for years that tell me I’m no longer beautiful and no one will ever look at me with interest again. I try self care, try to give myself grace so I can just start loving myself enough to gain strength but the slightest sparkle in my eye and skip in my step attracts his wrath and it all comes crashing ten fold. Life is just absolutely railing me from every single direction leaving me wanting to wave that white flag bc I don’t feel like there’s much hope no matter what happens.
