we are waiting for genetic tests to see if our daughter has Celica disease or a gluten intolerance. Based on her symptoms gastro says if it is positive celiac disease if negative glutennintolerance.

after all , blood work and stool samples were taken we went gluten free....now on day 3

our main issue is behead 2 huge very loose cream coloured stools, then 2 pale pencil thin stools and now she is having loose grainy green foul smelling stools and is wetting and soiling herself again, she has been in underwear without incident for 6 months now

family doc......call your pediatrician this is out of my league

pediatrician....you need to see a gastro

gastro...he will call back he is not in today but clerk will all him at home

kids emergency.....after complete history including all things in my first ever post on here...toddler diabetes, or tummy bug, go home and give her pedialyte cream stole are from too much milk......she has an anaphylactic reaction to milk

genetic testing will not confirm celiac disease or not. Some here on the forum do have confirmed celiac yet do not possess the gene that predisposes you to celiac disease.

Did she have the celiac blood test? not the gene test. I also think that there is bound to be some stool changes when first starting a gluten free diet. Also, I do know that when my kids at a young age would come down with a "bug" virus they'd get that green foul smelling stool. Could she be fighting a virus?

apart from the tummy troubles she is as strong as an ox, we get a cold for a month, she gets it for a day

the only real thing that has changed with gluten free is her bread and cereal

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
