Pea Fibre

Hi everyone

I am a vegetarian, trying to eat sufficient protein which is somewhat challenging given that I cannot tolerate Soy Protein and many pulses.

At the end of last year my staple high protein, low fat food, Quorn, changed their recipe to include Pea Fibre. I quickly, and painfully, discovered that I had a problem with pea fibre.

Has anyone else had a problem with pea fibre?

Thanks - FS xx

Yes. Peas cause a lot of problems for my daughter. We were told by the ped. gastro. office nurse there are on of the higher reactive foods for children. :(

Thanks! I was beginning to think it was just me. :(

Nope. There were a lot of foods that just missed being a label alert for allergens. What is crappy that pea fiber and starch is used in gluten free specialty foods.

Go figure. I read somewhere that pea fibre is 'allergen free'. Oh please.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
