Hi guys. Here I am again! This time I need a potato salad recipe. I have no idea what to put in it other than potatoes and eggs. I'm looking for quick and easy recipes since I am no cook. Thanks!

Debbie- One of the things I like to do is put italian dressing on the potatoes when they are hot. Let them marinate overnight then add mayo. It does not take much mayo because of the dressing. Then I throw in green onions, pickles and anything else that looks good!

I just add mayo, salt and pepper.

One thing I like to add for a change is Sour cream. My recipe is "double the mayo". Meaning, however much sour cream I put in, I double the mayo amount. It's really good with sour cream. :P

Gran’s potato salad.

5 cooked potato’s pealed and roughly cut

1 onion chopped very finely

2-3 cooked hard boiled eggs peeled and cut with an egg slicer

8-9 gherkins/ pickles cut into coins

Fresh chopped parsley to taste

1-teaspoon gluten-free wholegrain mustard

2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 sticks of celery chopped into little blocks

Salt and pepper to taste

gluten-free salami or cooked gluten-free bacon cut into blocks (optional)

Mix the hot peeled and roughly cut potatoes with the mayonnaise and wholegrain mustard and onion and salt & pepper. Add the gherkins, celery, parsley, gluten-free bacon and hardboiled eggs. Eat and enjoy. B)

Mmmmm, my grandma's potato salad is one of my favorite foods EVER!

5 cups of boiled potatoes (skin taken off, cut into chunks)

1 1/4 cup miracle whip

1 tbs vinegar

1 onion, finely chopped

2 tsp yellow mustard

salt and pepper

green olives/hardboiled eggs (I add both, depending on who likes what)

After the potatoes are boiled, let them cool. Mix together the other ingredients and then add the potatoes. If I am adding the olive and eggs, I mix them in, but then also put slices on the top to make it look nice, and sprinkle paprika on the top. I make this for all my get togethers.

Cooked potatoes cut into small cubes (I cook about 7 potatoes or so)

2 tbs Heinz white vinegar

1 cup Kraft light mayo

1 cup celery

1/2 cup yellow onions

2 hard boiled eggs cut up

2-3 green onions cut up small (optional)

garnish with paprika (I use McCormick)

I just throw it all together in a bowl

Hi Debbie,

My potato salad recipe includes eggs (approx. one egg to each potato), potatoes, Miracle Whip Lite, chopped celery, finely chopped onion. I like lots of celery in mine. And, of course, salt and pepper to taste.

Good luck!

Sharon

leave out the Mayo and eggs?

Sorry, I didn't realize that Kraft mayonaisse had eggs in it. Maybe try Plamil Egg Free Mayonnaise. It is egg, gluten, and dairy free.

Absolutely my point with Kerrigan, the owner. She stood to secure many years of faithful patronage by simply inviting us in for a pastry or lunch. Or by simply producing another $50 e-card based on trust. We would have been highly satisfied. We are limited to a few restaurants in the area, and that would have been one. It was very disappointing, esp to my wife, to realize we can't patronize the place anymore.

You would think any business would see the wisdom of honoring a $50 gift certificate on the basis of customer satisfaction alone, apart from any questions about software glitches.

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.
