I just wanted to share that I tried Enjoy Life's Snickerdoodle cookies...and *liked* them!! They are moist, chewy, and don't have that gritty aftertaste than most gluten-free cookies do. They also didnt' have any wierd or artificial ingredients in them.

Also, I can't rave enough about Chebe's breadsticks. I'd heard they were good but had held off buying any because they're a little pricey and, well, most bread products that are gluten-free are just not worth eating. But Chebe's Great!! It looked and tasted like bread, really good. I made the cheese sticks, and added baking powder and a little extra cheese. Terrific!

It's so nice to be able to post some *good* food news for once

Oh wow, and no potato? Cool!

NO: Gluten, wheat, dairy, casein, egg, soy, peanut, corn, potato, yeast, hydrogenated oil, artificial anything, or worries-made in a gluten-free & peanut-free bakery.

That's awesome! I love snickerdoodles, too....

Thanks for the info on breadsticks and snickerdoodles! I would like to add some good news: Breads from Anna has a bread mix that I tried for the first time yesterday. The results were so wonderful I almost cried tears of joy! I had tried 4 different breads from the specialty stores. None of them resembled bread in texture or taste...yuck!! Breads from Anna actually tastes like real bread! I had 2 slices of toast this morning. The first real bread taste I have enjoyed since I went gluten-free 3 months ago! For those of you who miss having sandwiches and toast, try this bread. I think you will love it!

I've never tried the Chebe bread before. Do most of the Chebe recipes use eggs and or dairy?

Thanks :)

Kasey's mom-

go here to see their products and which are casein free. i don't think there is any milk in the mix, but you add cheese to some of the mixes. they do use eggs however...but you could try a substitute. it would be a great product if you could use it. Open Original Shared Link

Oh, and all Chebe mixes are also free of corn, soy, potato, rice, iodine, and MSG...

The red bag has casein in it. You're supposed to use eggs in the mix. I use water or rice milk instead of milk. I don't add cheese. I think Chebe is great. Today I unpacked two cases of Chebe...garlic/onion and cinnamon. Yum. I don't like the red bag too much..it has a weird after taste.

The Enjoy Life Foods cookies make an excellent no bake pie crust! You just crumble up the cookies and smoosh them into shape in a pie pan and then add whatever filling you want, like a cheesecake or key lime or lemon merenge pie!!!! (by no bake it means you don't have to bake the pie crust before adding your fillings) Personally I think the chocolate chip cookies and the no oats oatmeal ones make the best crust!

Ohhhhhhhh my. :D I think I'm in love!! Chebe and Kinnikinnick will be the first things I try when I start adding foods back. The YORK booklet mentioned taht some people with chicken egg sensitivities could tolerate duck eggs. I think I need to move to the country and get some ducks. The Chebe bread actually looks like "REAL" bread.

Thanks :)

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
