  1. Yep, can't do dairy. I haven't tried goats milk actually. I get real sick from dairy so I have been a coward with the goats milk. I'll have to force myself to try it one day here. Egg is a mystery to me. According to Enterolab I am supposedly not intolerant to it and I can eat them sometimes, but then suddenly get ill the next. I have gone back...
  2. hehe I was referring to the food. I really think I can't do much about the relatives. They are all over weight. Some more than others, but weight has always been a problem and always will be I am sure. In some ways they are people of good will, if they are in the right mood, but some are just really selfish. My sister in law is the most selfish...
  3. Thank you! I am gonna try that one for sure. I haven't done well with citrus fruits, but maybe I can try a little and see what happens. The gravy is out when I am allergic to apple. The cereal has rice in it and for some reason I can handle that one and the bars which has rice too. But when I eat regular rice I get nauseas. It is strange. Ricemilk...
  4. I had that and still get it some, but not as bad as it was. I used to feel like I had to eat all the time. It got better and rarely happens at night any more. My blood sugar level has always had a tendency to do this my whole life off and on, but not as bad as after I got diagnosed and changed my diet. I have had my sugar level tested many times and it...
  5. I had that for a year off and on. Mostly "on". I think it was because I was healing and that I ate something that wasn't working. Have you been eating anything new? Do you eat Vitamins? I woke up at night feeling nasty for a long time too. I always had to force myself to eat something and after like 45 minutes or so it got better. No fun with that...
  6. Good one with the duck there. I gotta remember that one. I had negative blood work (but had been gluten free for 3 week), positive results with Enterolab and big results with diet so I was diagnosed with Celiac.
  7. You probably know very well what I feel. People do the most amazing things and I have really found out who really cares and who does not from getting this. I eat alone most of the time. My food is okay as long as I don't have to deal with theirs. ---- I made a list of things that I can eat. I really do not know what else to make from all of this...
  8. I am so sorry you got contaminated. Horrible. I leave in a house full of gluten (with husbands family) and I am super paranoid about getting contaminated. They have no feel for it at all. Hope you recover quickly. I am very sensitive too, but don't get quite as sick as you do.
  9. I dunno. It is just weird with this family. I feel like if I make demands or try to get respect they all get offended. You are supposed to be quiet about personal things and if someone voices it the others get uncomfortable. I have had times when I try to say something and kinda get punished with getting left out instead. So I feel very much I am the alien...
  10. Yes, I am following all of that. Add on allergic to nuts, almonds and almost all fruits and you end up with like 20 things? Makes things narrow and food talk not much fun. I have tried gluten free flours and rice..but that makes me feel nasty too and gives me a stomach ache. Lets just say I am very nutritionally challenged. Thank you. Warms my heart...
  11. Nice to see you! Yeah, I have to watch out with Vitamin E too. Terrible to be so sensitive, but oh well.
  12. hehe I have been trying that jealousy thing too, bummer thing is I am very limited. Way more limited that what it sounds like you are. Grrrr.. I try to make my fried chicken and veggie dish look the best it can ever look. These days I do well with spices and that always help. AND a lot of the time their food doesn't seem that good to me, but I think that...
  13. I can eat like Veggies and Chicken...not much of that is interesting for them. They think my food is bunny food. (I have to agree. hehe) I make soup sometimes: Veggie and Chicken soup...hehe...fry chicken with veggies.... (sigh) They like everything that I can't have. I really don't know how that would work to tell you the truth. They are a hard bunch...
  14. I am really not doing well with family dinners. Thanksgiving was hell. I can handle not eating Turkey, mashed potato and gravy pretty well, even watching the others eat the stuff (while eating my own food), but my husbands family just LOVES food. So they talk about food almost all the time. The whole stinking dinner it was all gourmet food talk. Brie cheese...
  15. ravenwoodglass: Makes sense. Who knows what else was in that massage oil. Gluten Free Savonnerie carries a massage oil that is among other things gluten free. I am gonna get some of that and bring in for the next time. Otherwise jojoba oil would be a good one too. Thanks for replies and suggestions.
  16. It contained peanut oil at least, and I am intolerant to all legumes (incl. Soy). It "stunk" peanut butter oil. I just didn't think of watching out about that for some reason. I am sure I got some in my mouth because the water bottle have that little thing you gotta pull up to be able to drink and I did that just after I left the place. I just got so stinking...
  17. Hang in there. Like others have mentioned, maybe you have other food intolerances as well. It took me a long time to start feeling better. Months before I noticed some changes actually. It came on gradually and one day it hit me I wasn't as tired any more. Then later I realized other symptoms were better or less too. Now, over a year after I got my diagnosis...
  18. hello everyone! I have been gone from the board for a while, but this place is often on my mind.. Anyways, I was thinking I should start posting again. I miss this place. I am getting some physical therapy done for my neck and shoulders and I completely didn't think of that the massage therapist used a massage oil that I am sure wasn't safe for...
  19. What type of allergies do you get shots for? I wish I could get some... Check out sunbutter.com for Sunflower seed butter. Looks pretty allergy friendly... I saw that they used soynuts in their trail mixes though for those who can't have that (cc issues maybe). ------------ I haven't had one single Banana today and my stomach hasn't...
  20. I am very sensitive to small amounts so I think I'll have to keep on looking. Thanks fo the kind offer though. Did you know there is Sunflower Seed butter? I guess it tastes almost like peanut butter. I am tempted..if that company will finally answer my e-mail.
  21. Someone else besides me that can't handle that stuff.. I really like Fred Meyer's too. They are good on gluten free stuff. has started carrying a lot of it. They had Enjoy Life brand before the big health food store in town for example. I did look at pans there but they only had big sets for way too much money for me. Yes...
  22. We don't have any of those but we have Gottschalk's and they have a kitchen area too, so I could look there. Maybe Sears would have some too...
  23. It is probably that sludge that I have. They saw thick stuff but no stones. I went to the ER ones because of this pain that didn't wanna go away (it was in the middle of the testing and going to that doctor). The blood test were normal so they sent me home. My mother has stones and my half brother had his removed last year because of stone. Grandpa had stones...
  24. I'll be using coconut oil more for sure, if my system approves. I actually just decided to get a non-Teflon pan here this week. Gave my old one up last night. I am going out this weekend to shop for a a new pan (without any coating right?). Any brands that are good that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Gottcha. Yep, the nausea is terrible...
  25. I do have that. Haven't used it yet though. Good idea. Tabasco32/Lisa: Good luck at the dentist! Never fun seeing them I think. I have also had a hard time getting support from my husbands family, which we live with for now. So I know that can be very difficult and depressing. Very. Hope things get better soon.
