Blendtec is the same company. They are just changing names. I haven't had mine but for a week, but if you go to Epinoins.com they have some good reviews from people who have had them longer. As soon as mine came it had a crack in it. They have very good customer service and said they would send me a new one right away and to use that one until it arived... -

Sorry about that. I had a typing error. I meant to say loud. This grain mill can grind Sorghum (milo). If you can find a place to purchase the whole grain from. The only things I use that I cannot grind is the starches. Amy -

Hi, I just decided to grind my own flour. I bought a Blendtec formeraly blendtec Kitchen mill. I'ts wonderful. I have only done rice and quinoa so far. The flours are just as fine as the bulk flour I use to buy. And I'm saving a lot of money. We figured out that it would take a year for it to pay for it's self, but after that, you're saving a lot.... -
ARCHIVED The Most Delicious Home-made Gluten Free Bread I've Ever Tasted...
AmyTopolski replied to mamatide's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
The dough is soft and a little firm on the outside after cooked. I rub Crisco on them and wrap them in a towel after they come out of the oven to keep them soft. This is what I did. Mix together flours, starches and flax meal. Scoop out one cup of mixture. The recipe calls for 4 cups. Add creamer, xanthan gum, sugar, salt and yeast. Blend well and set... -

I made it! I used 1 cup water heated it up in a small saucepan with 1 tbsp gelatin. Let the gelatin dissolve then poured it in a glass bowl and added 1 cup pineapple juice (I needed something to do with the juice from a can I opened for the girls). Stirred it up and put it in the fridge. It worked! My daughter loves it! I love that it has no dye to... -

This is the recipe we use. My girls and non-Celiac husband love it! If you want to use egg, the original recipe calls for 2. Just omit the flax meal, and Ener-G. Also, you can substitute a dairy free margarine for the Crisco. That's just what we use. Hope you enjoy! Amy Banana Muffins 1 -

ARCHIVED Introducing Solids To Baby
AmyTopolski replied to Katepfeiffer's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Before either of our daughters were diagnosted I made all of our own baby food. Our younger daughter had severe acid reflux that only got worse when she was introduced to solids. Sorry for confusing you. I would add the applesauce along with the egg replacer you used. I find that making 3 cups at a time is much easier. Then use the amount you need. I usually substitue cup for cup with a mixture like that. But that is up to you. Just wanted to clarify for you. Amy -

Hi, We are eggless bakers and I wanted to share some tips with you. Applesauce is a wonderful binder in egg free cooking along with the egg replacer you used. If you don't want to use a jarred applesauce just cut up an apple and put it in a saucepan with a splash of water and cook then puree. I would add 2-3 tablespoons of applesauce to your recipe. ... -

Hi, We are eggless as well. One good eggless option is to use some applesauce as a binder, but you still need another rising agent. Here is an egg replacer recipe. It calls for baking powder, so here is a recipe for corn free baking powder. Hope this is helpful. Amy Egg Replacer 1 -

When making powder sugar you need to add 1 tbsp of starch per cup of sugar. Blend in after you process the sugar. Sorry I forgot to add that in my last post.
